  1. now that my car is looking closer to how I want it to look thanks to all advise I’ve received from the forum , I want to focus on performance . I just bought the Perrin shifter stop. As I am doing the Perrin shifter stop, any other changes I should do at the same time ?

Id have to agree with the other son the shift stop not doing much as well. Get the Boomba short shift after plate. It made a huge difference in shortening the shift throws and unlike the other brands, the Boomba version is more similar to original plate in that it is counterweighted.

  2. The noise is good with me too, just read complaints about it and noticed what they mean. I drove on AT's for over a decade before the legacy but compared to summer tires they are quite loud @ 70 mph.

Yea the all season are definitely way louder than summers at higher speeds. I have the BFG comp 2 AS and one point I swear i couldn't tell if it was the tires or a wheel bearing went bad.

  3. I dont know for sure that the PCV made the rear main start to leak, but as a precaution its cheaper and much easier to replace that than have to drop your trans and get into all that bullshit for the RMS. Im right around 115k and i did take a bit of a road trip about two weeks ago up to New Hampshire, 6-7 hours each way, don't know if the long drive hours contributed to any of it. Just wanted the community to be aware, the RMS is a pretty big repair and if there is anyway to avoid a failure, I would want the community to know.
  4. So just a heads up to everyone, if you haven't ever replaced your PCV valve it may be a good idea to do it. My rear main seal went out over the weekend and according to my mechanic if your PCV valve fails it can cause pressure to build to up and seals to fail. Unfortunately in my case it chose to come out of the rear main, but who knows maybe it could have been prevented by replacing a $14 PCV valve. (part # 11810AA090)
  5. Thats weird me too, I took mine home April 2nd, 2016. 2010 with 78k paid $14000 and on my two year anniversary she was in the shop, oil coming from rear main seal or oil separator plate. I should know exactly where today. Mechanic said when your PCV valve goes it can cause pressure to build up and seals can leak. We'll see...
  6. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion it's the rear main seal. The turbo oil line and turbo oil pan are all potential oil leak. It may be an easier fix than the rear main oil seal.

I hope it's something that's an easier fix, I'll know more tomorrow. the car was running fine no warning lights, just could smell the oil burning on the hot exhaust and then i could see some puddled on the skid plate or splash guard whatever ya call it

  8. So the weather has been kinda crazy here in southern New Jersey lately. One day torrential down pours the next its beautiful in the 60s then back down in the 20s with snow. Alot of this moisture and fluctuating temperatures and all the sudden I notice a ton of moisture in one of my headlights. Such a bummer, does anyone have any easy fixes to get rid of it?
  9. im certain I saw this car for sale in New York when I was shopping for my 5th gen gt. it had jdm front end vinyl black and a single exhaust. It also had these onnoxious red rims on it at the time. The seller had claimed he was selling it for a friend said exisiting exhaust was no longer around and couldnt answer any questions. Low mileage sounded great but I passed on it.
