  1. Tracks would have been too easy for me. I live right next to the tracks The tracks are my neighbor to one side. Empty parking lot on the other side and a 20ft brick wall for my backyard neighbor. Love it! No, the train does not blow when it goes by and you cannot even feel or hear from inside the house.
  2. Car handles corners MUCH better with the 19mm bar. For the $$, it's a great upgrade. Just make sure you install the top bolts first, install them by hand and only finger tighten until all 4 are installed.
  3. Because everyone who is complaining about the car wandering on the highway is installing a swaybar as a fix when it has been discussed prior that it's the alignment that should be checked as the cause and not the small 16mm swaybar. Is that a run on?..lol Pretty dang long sentence.
  4. I left it dry. Super easy to loosen up and grease if it starts to squeak. I think being so far back and unsealed, unnecessary grease is not a good thing because it traps dirt and moisture.
  5. ^^^Yes. MUST install all bolts prior to tightening. I tightened top first which is habit just because of the undue pressure on bottom ones because of the bracket. I installed wall mounted office furniture for several years and its same practice. Top tightens first when downward pressure is created by weight.
  6. You do have to be careful with top bolts because I could def feel how they would go in cocked unless ALL pressure was relieved from the brackets. If you do not push UP on bracket before starting to MANUALLY thread the bolts, you will sttip them. Take them out and clean the threads up. You could always throw slightly smaller bolts in there if it came to it. Nut/bolt combo is what I'm referring to.
  7. I've installed 3 19mm swaybars on 3 diff 2015 Legacy's. One Legacy had an upper bolt that was all gunked up, it came out hard and was going in hard so I had to use a thread chaser to clean things up. The other 2 cars including my own all went in by finger. Zero problems fitting a 3/8" ratchet w/socket up in there. I rarely torque stuff like that. I just tighten them up. For the end link, I used a ratcheting box wrench and an allen key.
  8. Take the dash out yourself before going to dealer. problem solved! Recalls are mandated by NHTSA which is US based. Canada has to get involved I would think for Canadian owned models. Just a guess tho.
  9. I prefer my custom folding CoverCraft(UVS100) which is identical to OEM except I have non eyesight so it covers entire window. My dash cam is tucked way up so it doesn't even touch it. Fitment is perfect! $50 shipped from AutoAnything. My only negative comment is that the folds are large and you canot fold it open and close on the dash like I could my truck but this is the same with the Subaru one. Actually, I think CoverCraft make the Subaru one... It's identical in fit and finish to my OEM Dodge one. Go figure. Mine goes on the floor behind driver seat. I use it every time I park at work and home on the weekends. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc86/rfoker/Subaru/20150529_100003_zpsk0lwfew0.jpg~original http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc86/rfoker/Subaru/20150529_100016_zpsjssw67qj.jpg~original
  10. I understand the want for the sleek look. I still don't get the whole Chrome thing. You already have it on your car. in channel vents will still show your chrome trim.
  11. You do realize the reason for the chrome edge on the vent shades is because it is suppose to keep the chrome trim undisturbed in appearance...otherwise you are breaking up the chrome trim. I not a fan of the in-channel one's because they distort the oem rubber seal and puts pressure on the glass when fully shut. You also have to use rtv sealant to get rid of all the air that squeezes in around the edges. I looked in Lund's website and looks they only have for Outback's. All vent visors make noise, not just the OEM one's. The noise is well worth the inside not baking or smelling IMO.

  13. Geez, I hope mine doesn't crack. My insurance company will pay for a new one no charge but they will not replace my tint strip at the top(which is crap). My wife just got her first rock chip on her 2015 Forester. It has eyesight and heater element. That is a $700+ winshield...ouch. Free glass coverage BTW, do most of you know that side mirrors, headlights and taillights are usually covered under glass coverage? Ask your insurer about it. Just don't do too many claims. nah, the cost to paint a bumper if it happens to become covered in rock chips would be the same as the initial cost of protection... I mean, it's a Subaru not a Vette... people buying a used car expect that type of paint imperfection.
