Where did you find that si drive knob?
-
It seems like thats the route I will have to go. I just picked up a specb from a state that doesnt require emissions and took need to get it inspected in pa. Just trying to figure out the best way to go about it for 1 year before i qualify for emissions exempt at <5000 mi/year

So I just picked up an 08 Spec.B from Nashville. I live in PA and will need 1 emissions pass before I am eligible for an exempt sticker.
"Vehicles will be exempt from the program if: • the vehicle has been owned for one year and driven less than 5,000 miles in the prior year"
I emailed the tuner about his thoughts as the car was pa owned when tuned by him at IAG. I just wanted to gather your thoughts on the best course of action to obtain an emissions sticker. I would prefer to not have to buy a catted exhaust and am worried that even if I do I would have to buy other mods and a tune to pass 1 year of PA emissions.
In my county I am required to have the gas cap test and OBD2 Test.
Currently no CEL but from my limited research I am concerned about readiness checks.
The mods are as follows:
08 Spec.B
Base Map Reflashed: Yes
PDI: No
Code Deletes: tgv and Air pump
Engine: IAG Built
Management: V3
Fuel: 93
Speed Density/MAF: MAF
Map Sensor: OEM
Injectors: ID 1000
Fuel Pump: Walbro
Intake: Cobb
Inlet: Perrin
Turbo: 440xt
Intercooler: Perrin TMIC
Exhaust: Invidia Catless
Boost Control: Grimmspeed
Spark Plugs: One Step
AOS: IAG Comp
Clutch: ACT HDSS
Thanks!

how much would the grill be local pickup?
-
Any update to this?

Probably a silly question... But. Dgm? Qsm?
Dgm is diamond gray metallic
Qsm is quartz silver metallic

I need the hood as well, but I suppose that could be bought separately. I recently bought a spec b that has minor damage to the hood, light, grill, bumper, and upper rad support.
I also like the mesh style bezels surrounding the fog lights more than on the 3.0.

Does anyone know how if/how often sites like [removed] get in shipments? I am looking for something like this:

I just wanna say congratulations to whoever got the 08 spec b with 37k miles on it in Georgia. Ive been shopping for one and when I called they said it was gone.

Hi everyone,
I currently own an 09 2.5i 4at but have been periodically browsing the internet for clean GTs. I recently found one and want to make sure I can check out the known issues that these cars can have. What specifically should I be looking for before going further.
The car is a Bronze 08 lgt with ~78k miles and is listed for 9500. I feel like that is a fair price if everything checks out mechanically. What do you guys think?
Here is the carfax listed for the vehicle.
Also, if anyone has a trusted mechanic, preferable that knows these cars, in the SW PA area that would be great. Currently I would have a PPI done by a dealership ~30 minutes away if I can't find anyone else.
Thanks!

It's getting fixed now. Thanks

The lower perches are likely inverted on your struts. This pushes the springs up too high....

It definitely looks like thats the issue now that I look at it. I had a friend install them so Ill let him know.

Did you drive it around yet? It's been a while, but are the rear top hats and spring perches installed in the correct orientation? Do you have any photos?
I have driven it about 30 miles. when I got the car back it looked off and assumed it needed to settle and on the way home I realized that even taking that into account it is still very high. I didn't actually install these myself - I had a friend of a friend do it. Here are some pictures just to confirm the perches are inverted.

I didn't have a tape measure with me, but with such a drastic difference in height I don't think you need one.

Anyone have any issues with the rear springs? I have a 2 finger gap in the front but in the rear I can fit 5 fingers.
Springs haven't settled yet but this still seems way too high.
I have the kit with h and r springs sku: 1140 1671

Anyone have any issues with the rear being too high? I haven't let the springs settle, but especially compared to the front it looks like the rear is lifted. There is a 2 finger gap in the front and I can fit my whole fist in the rear. I'll get an exact measurement tomorrow but something definitely seems off.
The sport kit I have is sku: 1140 1671 with h and r springsm

Tein H Tech or H&R for just reducing wheel gap. Maybe lowering an inch all around with good ride quality on stock struts? 2008 2.5i sedan
I need to do the same exact thing for my 2009 2.5i. Anyone have suggestions/advice?

I just bought a set of those enkei sti wheels from one of the importers and they came with some curb rash. Do you happen to know the paint or a close match?
Probably gonna sand and prep myself then have a shop colormatch, but I am worried they won't be able to get a big enough sample with the inside barrels being a different color.
