  1. Has anyone installed the C lamps themselves? I opened the headlight housings on my '05 a few times, wasn't difficult at all, just worried about the wiring, are they plug and play?

This link below will give you some of the info, including link to other threads that might help. I did not install mine so I can't help you there, but I know they are not just plug and play. There are some level of wiring required but it isn't very hard from what I heard.

Next Challange: Your legacy next to a cold one (beer) in a driveway, parking lot, garage, parking spot, etc. Pictures of you drinking and driving are not allowed.

  3. The only challenge with installing the fogs with the bumper off is leveling them. I had to stand the bumper on wood blocks, then disconnect the harness, lean the bumper forward and make adjustments.

Took a few pictures last night of the fog harness and the housing installed for future references...

Match the polarity on Morimoto's harness (red is hot / black is ground) to the car's harness. Before seating the prongs to the connector first plug them directly to the car's fog harness to make sure the fogs turn on. Once you check that, just seat the morimoto prongs in the provided connector plug. Make sure the prongs are inserted the right orientation and matching polarity to the car's fog harness. Removing the prongs from the connector after they are seated is a PITA. Below is how it looks completed with the polarities matched.

The oem fogs are held in by a screw and a push clip. Remove those and the oem fogs will slide out. Then when you mount the Morimoto's to the bumper will notice that only one of the holes on the outside bracket will line up with the bumper's mounting holes. That is ok and i only used the original screw secure the fog to the bumper and not the push clip. "The_Grey_Goose" did the the same to his and they are still on and holding up nicely. :)

fyi... you don't need to use the screws that come with the Morimoto fogs. you can set those aside.

Plug everything in and turn the lights on and make sure everything turns on. Now is a good time to check if the fogs are leveled. You can do this with the bumper off or on. I chose to do it with the bumper off. I leveled it off the floor (at height) on wood blocks and turned the metal screw on the morimoto housing to adjust them up or down as necessary. Clockwise will raise and counter clockwise will lower the the light.

  4. I'd highly recommend getting the Morimoto fogs then (or a similar LED fog with complete housing). $170 through Amazon and their output is awesome.

I will second that. I just put my Morimoto's in yesterday and what a difference. It is considerably noticeable. Installation is also super easy. The hardest part I think was taking the bumper off lol. I wouldn't mess with HID in the fogs but I would imagine the output would be similar. Keep it simple

  5. It'll just be tire being slightly out of shape until it warms up. You could try setting the pressures up by 3-4psi just to test the theory. No harm in trying.

I had the installer match mount the wheels and tires (wasn't done before) because the road force readings came under 20lbs, but the wheel originally reading 19lbs then was reading 27lbs after match mounting. Tire Rack replaced that tire under warranty and now it is at 9lbs. It smoothed out the ride quite a bit but still not as smooth as I would like but definitely better than before. I might be asking for too much. It seems these tires ride better once the pressure increases a bit after a few minutes of driving. I am going to take your advice and still raise pressures by 3 to 4 psi and see what it does. Below is my current setup and according to Tire Rack within specs. I tried to get them to change the 17lbs wheel as well but they would not.

    FL - 06lbs / FR - 12lbs

    RL- 17lbs / RR - 09lbs

  6. Thanks Tigger73. I was poking around on NASIOC and read someone recommending inflating them to 40 psi cold. Also been doing some reading on Road Force Balance trying to get better educated after getting my results and debating making a third trip to the installer. I read that 10 and under is ideal but under 26 is acceptable. It seems they only measured and did not rotate tire on rim. Below were my readings.

    LF - 16

    RF - 17

    LR - 19

    RR - 6
