  1. Welp, that does look like an incredibly clean specimen. Lots of JDM aero bits that at the very least look aggressive. Price is reflective of owner’s pride more than current market rate tho, imho. I would definitely ask more about the motivation for turbo swap, waaay too many sob stories here about new owners unaware of the history/potential of glitterbombs. And second KZ on compression/leakdown professional assessment before purchase. The questions to ask yourself are Do I have a war chest for mechanical issues or a garage w a lift and the tools to tackle? Am I at a point in my life to buy my dream car even if it comes w a side of nightmare?
My engine/turbo/trans remain stock, I’m third owner and having a gorgeous wagon still induces anxiety from time to time. Issues aplenty will arise, due to age more than anything. Things fall apart. Think it over well and good luck with purchase. And I will say the silver/black aesthetic is a very nice combo.

  2. +1 for rsb and brackets. Fantastic return on investment in terms of something you can noticeably feel improvement. I’m on jdm bilsteins and pinks, like the look and feel of lower than stock but it’s getting old. The suspension and user. Looking at Kings myself, at least in the rear to keep the wagon from sagging while loaded. Anything you save on coilovers can be thrown at the Whiteline catalog to refresh bushings and accompanying suspension bits. Especially if you do happen to drop from stock. Haven’t looked for it in a while, but user Uncle Mat had an incredible in-depth comparison of suspension set-ups stickied on the old forum. If you find that there’s more info/analysis than any one owner/driver can impart. Good luck and happy motoring.

  3. D’oh! Forgot about elevation.  Bought mine w the back tinted all around. Added the roof and matched the rear wagon hatch when replacing back doors/wagon panel due to break-ins. IIRC, it’s 35%, no more than 30%. Been awhile. Here’s a daylight shot w water reflection to give a good idea of visibility. In the bay area, limo tint would only give the impression of endless cash and prizes inside so can’t do. Kinda would have liked to go darker tho. Having had an 08 outback w zero tint, def prefer this look and function.

  4. After nearly a decade of ownership and forum involvement, I second your stance on saving engine upgrades until catastrophe strikes. ‘Stay stock/happy’ is an undervalued quote here. Seen so many w wild power goals do too much at once and shortly thereafter they’re listing their baby on the FS thread w a blown turbo/shortblock and nothing but contempt for the failed dream realization. It’s a quick arc for some. Do what you can and save the labor costs for that rainy day build. Soak up the wealth of experience shared here, this community is a rarity for its support of adult ownership. Suspension refresh/upgrades are what our cars need first to enjoy the power they have getting to the ground. +1 for jdm billies and pinks setup, have same on my wagon. You’re on the right track.

  5. I modded my seat belt chime w age. That mf doesn’t make a peep anymore. Drivers side, anyway. Passenger diff story.

@310Z, the airbag recall was a separate work order from the dash. Unlikely to have been dealt with at the same time unless PO was scrupulous about doing both. And tint helps, but in CA the fishbowl greenhouse is a fact of life. I cover my front seats w white tees old man style just to cut a bit of the black leather heat soak. Doubt it does much. Seek shade. Really expected more from tinting the sunroof myself. At least we don’t have salt on the roads tho.
