Look up gelco gel seats. I never bought one but a friend left it at my place when I had a back injury and sitting was problematic. I have the ultra, fwiw. I keep it in the Legacy driver seat since forever now. I’m slender and have driven cross country many times in an 08 Outback. Driver seat doesn’t cut it. Do yourself and back a favor. It’s plush.

Appreciate the input. Gong sound way more fun than what I have going on now. Didn’t realize how bad til a neighbor said it reminded him of bike wheels w cards in the spokes back in the day. Facepalm.

Soo, my undertray has been toast since a possum strike in late February. Finally got around to searching and sho nuff, my specific model needs are for a part that is discontinued. Heuberger confirmed same. Wondered if anyone has experience w either the Rallitek or Primitive Racing skid plates. Both in OR, just a few dollars difference in price. Bit overkill for my general use but lowered/clearance considerations do arise. Much as I’m tempted to run naked down under, I shudder to think what may have taken the blow without coverage. Also tired of being ‘that guy’ when I back up in the preschool parking lot. Scrapes like a somamabitch. And we’re way past zip ties here.

Moving week. Neglected pics. Let’s just say I love my rig. If anyone gets in for those yellow-topped black crates, the 14gal size can be accommodated side by side in the rear of the wagon, or a total of six w the seats down.

Welp, that does look like an incredibly clean specimen. Lots of JDM aero bits that at the very least look aggressive. Price is reflective of owner’s pride more than current market rate tho, imho. I would definitely ask more about the motivation for turbo swap, waaay too many sob stories here about new owners unaware of the history/potential of glitterbombs. And second KZ on compression/leakdown professional assessment before purchase. The questions to ask yourself are Do I have a war chest for mechanical issues or a garage w a lift and the tools to tackle? Am I at a point in my life to buy my dream car even if it comes w a side of nightmare?
My engine/turbo/trans remain stock, I’m third owner and having a gorgeous wagon still induces anxiety from time to time. Issues aplenty will arise, due to age more than anything. Things fall apart. Think it over well and good luck with purchase. And I will say the silver/black aesthetic is a very nice combo.- 1

Yous guys are motivating me to swap in my OEM replacement hatch struts that have been sitting in the closet for nearly two years. Sprung for em when wallet was fat and needed some weight watchers. Mine open but slow down at the top. Tired of bumping my head. Thanks, enablers.

Man, our wagon looks so small now when parked next to the newest STIs/WRX, crosstrek or outbacks.
Short n thick will do the trick, but long n lean will make em scream.

Is trunk mat sedan only? If it’s wagon too I’d be tempted to pry.

Nice grab. Could be a dealer demo? Wifey’s 2020 Forester was listed as CPO w about 1,200 miles.

+1 for rsb and brackets. Fantastic return on investment in terms of something you can noticeably feel improvement. I’m on jdm bilsteins and pinks, like the look and feel of lower than stock but it’s getting old. The suspension and user. Looking at Kings myself, at least in the rear to keep the wagon from sagging while loaded. Anything you save on coilovers can be thrown at the Whiteline catalog to refresh bushings and accompanying suspension bits. Especially if you do happen to drop from stock. Haven’t looked for it in a while, but user Uncle Mat had an incredible in-depth comparison of suspension set-ups stickied on the old forum. If you find that there’s more info/analysis than any one owner/driver can impart. Good luck and happy motoring.

A man, a plan, a canal, Panama. Take out the commas and it’s the same front to back. Sounds solid. None but your knuckles will know who did the work. And it’ll save you the pauses.
