  1. Ah...HAH! A rear windsheild wiper switch. Maybe....it could be that! Now I need to find a LGT with a rear windsheild wiper and see if that is the button, or if anyone out there has one let me know.

Well, the purpose is to use it for my iPod FM modulator. It is hard wired to my radio, and I need to have a on/off button somewhere. In the pic on my original thread, you can barely see the cradle behind the windsheild wiper arm.

On the sedan in Japan, the car has rear winshield wipers, so good luck on finding a JDM Legacy in NZ or USA.

I doubt I have seen anywhere that has a stock I/C spray button. I do know that some of the other non-USA models have additional features on the car for that button. In the USA, it's just a dummy/blank panel that you can just drill through and install your own switch/led or jack that you want to install on it.

  2. in additon to this

i take the neg cable and ground it to the positive end. letting any avilible power back feed and drain the capicitors and what not

then i step on the brakes

    turn the key on

    flip the headlights on

jsut press all sorts of buttons to drain the capacitors

Just disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and step on the brakes, put the keys in the ignition and flip it to the 2nd position (ON) to ensure NOTHING on the instrument cluster is on. I dont think you have go through ALL stated above.

  3. thanks Keefe, .. do you know the difference between 1156 and 7440 mirror orange? also, i saw they have dealers, but is there anywhere online we can order from?

1156 is a twist bulb, 7440 is the push in type.. those are model numbers of the type of bulb. I believe the GT uses 1156 up front.. (1157 are dual filament bulbs typically used for brake lights for one filament and parking lights for the other filament).

I opt to buy PIAA bulbs at a store.. it's easier to return for warranty reasons.. (since PIAA USA has a 1-year manufacturer warranty on them).
