Someone has tried on here a long time ago. It is a lot of work and looks weird.
-
Sounds like you need a new rad. If the fans didn't work then they would not come on with the A/C either.
-
maybe they took the speakers out.
-
There is no relay, it's the resistor.
-
Could be any bearing really. Probably turbo bearing or maybe timing component related.
-
Your biggest feat will be pulling both front wiring harnesses from both cars and getting them merged together. 06-07 Impreza (base, wrx, sti) are CANBUS so a 04-05 swap is easier.
-
Pull the drive shaft and check to see how sloppy it is. Take about 30 mins to pull it.
-
you will need 17in wheels to clear them.
-
You will Need
ECU
Turbo Subframe
Wiring Harness
Turbo Engine
Downpipe
Catback
Walbro 255 Fuel pump
-
you can see if a 07 2.5 NA forester filter will fit.
-
the large seal is the just the cushion/spacer. it goes right into the intake manifold before you put the injector in.
-
That's the waste gate and it should not have oil in it.
-
Definitely not factory lol
-
You can make it work probably. The rears would probably need the most work.
-
If you have a auto car then you want your rad to the have the two ports on the bottom middle for the trans cooler lines. Manual cars can use either.
-
03 WRX shifter bushing and short throw will fit.
-
-
the ECU is re-learning. Keep driving.
-
OEM ball joint is 30$ each at my local dealer
-
looks like price has gone down
-
You have remove the intake manifold as well to take the heads. Oil pan is easy to remove. You'd also have to remove the cams to take the heads off as well. If you plan on reusing every make sure you put every thing back in order. IE the cam caps and stuff like that.
-
03-05 foresters NA and impreza NA headers are the same but the rest is not. Bosal makes Carb Compliant and makes exhausts for subaru so it will fit well. Will probably out last any ebay cats. They do cost around 400$ though. you get what you pay for.
-
lucky you don't get rust. Those ball joints are a PIA around here. That bushing in the back is hydraulic so best get a arm with one on it or buy the whiteline kit for 120$ changes it to poly. You can also buy the energysuspesnion bushing kit for 85$ if you find a good used arm. Rockauto has them for a decent price.
