I called Subaru of America, Inc. today about the issue with my 2016 Legacy Premium (Fujitsu 7” Display Audio Unit without Navigation) and SiriusXM Radio described in numerous posts above (list function not working). I was told that SiriusXM added channels and it caused issues with numerous vehicle manufacturers including Subaru. I was also told that SiriusXM was supposed to supply Subaru with a fix that Subaru would package in a new firmware. She was very aware of the issue but could not find where any fix had been provided by SiriusXM or that Subaru had released updated firmware. I asked her what is the latest firmware for my radio, but she was unable to tell me what the latest firmware was for my vehicle/radio. I was told call back in a few weeks and maybe they might have more info. It was a frustrating call for me.

     

    Does anyone have any further information on the latest firmware - 2016 Subaru Legacy Premium with Fujitsu 7” Display Audio Unit without Navigation? I am currently on OU9311 firmware. My dealer has no updates either as of today. Thanks!

     

    newest update is OU9312 for yours and does address xm issue.

  3. Do you have pics of the replaced HU? Or anyone else that got the replacement.

     

    I'm going to take the OB in as its still under warranty, but I want to go fully equipped when I take the Legacy as I'll have to get them to work with the extended plan and I have $100 deductible on that.

     

    Also, How do the map updates work when you replace the HU? I have the 3 yr map update plan. Do you just keep your old SD card and use it in the new unit?

     

    I know they had a whole convoluted process to resolve update issues between all the companies involved. I don't remember if there was anything that tied the SD card to the HU.

  4. Will the NAV updates make the system any "better"?

    Here are the issues I have with the system in my '16:

    1. Most often it cannot "understand" what I am saying for an address and I can only navigate via manual input

    2. When speaking to me, the system will often cut off the first word, or phrase

    3. When no destination is put into the system the screen does not show what exit is next (as does my Garmin)

    4. When trying to set a location to be saved by using the tap screen, the location listed on the screen is nearby, but not at the exact location I am trying to waypoint.

    5. Why can't (won't?) dealer do it. When I noted the above issues I was told that there was no fix.

     

    lazy dealer. request it to be updated, call subaru customer service, or you can install yourself with know how.

  5. ok so here it goes. 15-205-16r has been revised since december 2017. all update files have been updated. i can still get you the new files but please be patient on time frame sending. it does take awhile to upload. once you receive them please download files quickly so i can clear google drive. I'm happy to assist in everyone getting the latest and greatest. still need email and what file you need and can send you the updated version number in a pm.
