  1. I am very sad at what the 6G forum has become. I'm sorry guys but ask this bitterness and arguing over absolutely nothing worthwhile is why I stopped logging on for months. I will be coming back solely to post updates about anything regarding the legacy, but there's no way I'm stopping by to read anything on this site anymore. Sorry guys, but many of you have ruined the idea of community that once existed on this forum.
  2. Anyone with the tune have an SSD or Takeda intake? If so did you notice a difference after installing? Why did you pick one over the other?

aFe claims 7hp and 6lb-ft on their website

I put in the Takeda then got the tune.

I chose the Takeda because SSD wasn't fitted to 6G yet. Personally, I think the Takeda is flashier than the SSD, but I do really like how the SSD keeps the stock box with the charcoal filter in the back.

I think as long as you do the ECU reset, then your car will learn that it has a slight increase in airflow, if any is present.

  3. I'm using wheel specs that aren't in the consolidated tables on Pg.1 of this thread, so I thought I'd share.

Swapped out my stock 18" cast wheels for used Prodrive GC-010E (http://www.prodrive-japan.com/en/products/gc_010e_forged) 18 x 8 ET43 forged wheels, which are a discontinued model. Weighed in at 8.2kg (18.1 pounds) vs 11.3kg (24.9 pounds) stock.

They had lots of kerb rash and gold wheels aren't my thing, so I had a shop repair them and respray them gloss black.

    Before respray:

Reused my stock 225/50R18 Dunlop Sport Maxx 050 tyres because I like the comfort and the way they fill up the wheel arches without making me splurge on bigger wheels:

They poke 18.6mm more than stock - enough to look a bit more flush, while still giving me space within the arches to lower the car without worrying about the rubbing I was getting in the rear, back when I was using 25mm spacers with the stock wheels:

As you can see, plenty of clearance for my AP Racing front calipers:

Rears are of course fine too:

  4. Has anyone put the outback front bumper and suspension on their legacy yet, Creating any 6th Gen outback sedans, because I plan on doing it here over the winter. I am also looking for good solid wheels and the wheel thread seems to be only street wheels. So would anyone want to assist me in my project or tell me how dumb it sounds? Any known obstacles I will face with a suspension swap?

I actually love the idea. Just out of curiosity though, why do you want to do this?

  5. It's great to have you rhombus. This forum is exactly that, a forum. A place for many minds to share their experiences for the greater good of all owners. We all bring something different to the table on hopes for achieving a better end result. I'm very thankful to have found this website.

Getting a little less deep, right now I'm between the 20mm STI bar and the 22mm white line bar. The 20mm is only 90 bucks at my dealer, and the 22mm is like 220 and God knows how much the shipping is..

For those who own the 20mm, do you find yourself longing for a stronger solution, or are you content with your upgrade?

For those who own the 22mm, do you feel it's 150% better than the 20mm, to justify the 150% price increase?

    ****update****

flashed my 1st tune today and the difference is unbelievable already and i've only driven about 15 miles!! Very happy with my decision to go forward with this and i'm sure the others who have done the same can attest to this. 7,000 miles and my car has finally woken up!
