  1. @15LegacyRyan: Model Year 2015 and only 10,000 miles on the tires? What size wheels and tires are those? Are they OE spec ... exactly? It looks like the tires may be rubbing against something. I also see aftermarket splash guards in one pic. What else is not original equipment? I can't emphasize this enough!
  2. If you're planning to do this yourself, read the TSB again ... carefully. Details matter. There are different files for NAV-equipped and non-NAV head units.

    Quotes???

Recently seen on the label of some bottled water in my local grocery store: "Gluten Free!" (Really.)
  5. Please take this discussion to the appropriate Gen 6 Marketplace listing. Thanks.
  6. Just be sure that you're comparing apples to apples.
  7. This is not the place to advertise for-sale items. Please review the Marketplace rules, create a listing there in the Wheel & Tire subforum, and you can then post a (single) link to it in this thread.

    Quotes???

One of Paulsen's presidential campaign slogans: "I've upped my standards. Now, up yours."

    Quotes???

Woody was quoting Groucho Marx. Profound idea, though.
  10. Some chargers, like a few CTEK models, include a "power supply" mode specifically for this kind of use. In practice, just about any inexpensive off-the-shelf power supply rated for 7 amps at 12 to 13 volts should work just fine.
  11. Do you want to risk bricking the head unit ... on your own dime?

    Quotes???

"All the problems we face in the United States today can be traced to an unenlightened immigration policy on the part of the American Indian." ~ Pat Paulsen ... deadpan comedian, satirist, vintner, and presidential candidate (1968, 1972, 1980, 1988, 1992, 1996)
  13. 4/60 is still not an option offered by the Subaru Added Security (Used) plans ... at least not since July 2014. I give up.

  15. ??? The original Subaru drive train warranty, which includes the CVT, covers defects in materials or (factory) workmanship for 5 years / 60,000 miles. That kind of damage wouldn't be covered by the original Subaru warranty, or by the SAS plans, anyway. The dealer or their insurer would have to pay for it.
  16. Good point. I checked, and the earlier SAS contract form (dated 7/14) didn't offer a 5 year/80k mile plan either ... new or used.
  17. See attachment. Read it carefully. Subaru_Added_Security_Form_1701_p1.pdf
  18. It depends upon whether you bought your Subaru new or used. You are correct for new purchases, but buying used has different rules.
  19. Shoot! I got the same performance boost from installing genuine Subaru (lightweight? racing?) valve stem caps ... for a whole lot less money.
  20. There is also a small risk that the coverage will be reduced if you wait. For example, road hazard coverage for tires used to be included, but not any more. The contract terms were rewritten in January 2017 ... one reason why online discount prices quoted by some dealers may have actually gone down over the past year.
  21. The hump is there for clearance, that's all. A moderate hump does not affect the function of a long torsion bar like the RSB, and the orientation of that hump has no effect whatsoever.
  22. I sympathize with your disappointment that your windshield cracked ... but if you have objective data to support your assertion, let's see it! Otherwise, your anecdote is no more valid than anyone else's.
