  1. Yeah I can relate. I often ask myself why do I like the Subarus with no aftermarket interest. I have an EJ with a low mount turbo (5th gen LGT) and a damn Outback wagon with a tiny truck bed (Baja). Modding these cars leads to a custom self made FMIC. Still can't believe I took the time and effort to do that project.

From what I can tell I'm going to have some unexpected fun trying to mount the rear Brembos on this Baja.[emoji57]

well i guess if thats where your interest lies and you have funding, time, paitence ect you'll go ahead with projects if it seems worthwhile to you i suppose. Same case with modding my 5th gen lgt.....

  2. I'm not a big Chevy fan but FWIW:

Can be had in 6 speed manual but only the new ones you'll find in stick. Run about $40k new. This one with the Supercharger, 505Whp. That'd be a hell of a sleeper. It looks almost like a Cruze

if you are in australia you'll see lots of those or similar v8 powered models here on a daily basis, same with the ford falcon equiviliant....... We only just got the mustang as replacent for the falcons not long ago....

  3. They weren't really very big sellers here. Kind of an oddball in the world of Subaru quirkiness. They were essentially a Gen3 Legacy Wagon but they kept making/selling them for a few years after the Gen4 came out.

Unforunatelly for me its usally those "odd balls" in most cases that usually catch my eye as for something different from the rest of the crowd deal.

  4. I was thinking about a Stagea but then my Lib came up cheap.

Next car maybe 2nd hand Infiniti Q50 haha. If only they made wagons.

Came close to purchasing a Autech stage myself that was well looked after and pretty clean but I needed something with good long term reliability and something that wasn't going to cost big dollars maintenance wise since it was going to be daily driver.

I still kind of regret not purchasing it though to this day still....... -sighs-

  5. *ding ding ding* Zee is correct. Now, I know what you guys are probably gonna say but...should I find some cheap Enkeis or go and get something like TSW's? I'm not gonna spend more than $250-300 a wheel though because I'll be getting some new rubber at the time. I know I'll save in the long run by being able to switch out sets in the driveway vs having them mount and balanced twice a year.

I would've loved to get that spoke design here in Australia, TSW Nurburgring, BBS are like $500Aud each over here. -.-

  6. I've been looking at wheels just so I have an idea of how much it's gonna cost when the time comes. I think I've got it down to a size I feel looks good.

Was looking at 40's but I feel the extra 5 would keep some of the cushion and fills in the wheel arches a bit better. I've always felt the car needed some bigger tires and wheels. I'm not sure on the offset though. Any thoughts?

That's a nice looking set of wheels, what wheels are those?

  7. We have several cars running at stage 3, on a stock block, daily driven at 300~335whp, with proper supporting mods and a solid tune of course. These cars are severely intercooling-limited, so anything that helps lower or limit charge temps will be a great help, especially using E85 fuel or meth injection. Otherwise, not much is needed beyond what you should already have at stage 2.

    Thanks for clarifying that up.

  8. Out of curiosity I thought after stage two you have to start upgrading engine internals like pistons, rods, cam shafts ect? or is that sort of stuff needed once you are pushing for like much larger gains?

Just asking because i've noticed how aftermarket TMIC's, fuel pumps, larger injectors are common upgrades as well turbos in some cases with a few of you guys. I'm just not that familiar with common modifications after stage 2 that's all.

  9. I did that exact setup earlier this year.

Good news: the rear bar is very easy. It's almost fun. Just pop under there and switch it out.

Bad news: The front bar is impossible. You have to raise the engine to get it in.

My advice would be to do the rear yourself and pay a shop to do the front.

wow i didn't realize the front bar was such a pain to do the install. Oks thanks for the information, I was hoping that they would both be a simple install and doable at home......

  10. Hi there, At the moment I am looking at getting a 24mm front sway bar and also the 22mm rear sway bar by whiteline, going onto a 2010 subaru liberty gt manual, located in Australia I am , sydney, I was wondering whats the go in terms of simplicity of the install of these bar? I am unsure whether to purchase and get everything done through a shop or whether to do install on the weekend with my dad whos mechanically minded.

Any experience here with installing of the white line bars? how long it take roughly, is it simple or complicated ect.
