  1. Locking the cams is the key. If you can't do that, then forget DIY.
  2. A grudge match frequently leads to jail. 20 times or a 1000 on the track does not make it safe on public streets.

    Quotes???

It is only necessary to make war with five things: with the maladies of the body, the ignorances of the mind, with the passions of the body, with the seditious of the city, and the discords of families. - Pythagoras
  9. Aw, shucks!!! Never thought about it and the "STI GUY" did the work. I just reinstalled the AP, the question is does the cruise work? BTW, 40 (holy crap) forty!!! years ago I used to test boats for C.R. Hunt Assoc., the inventors of the Deep-Vee hull. I was really good on tuning 289 H/M motors and props. It would have been nice to talk boats and cars. Although I prefer sail to stink pots! Sorry I missed you!:Wu:

  13. cracked rotors are not uncommon problems with Porsche brakes. And most Porsche brake rotors are CAST with the holes in them!
  14. If you can afford a Porsche, you can afford the cost to replace brake rotors. In addition the quality of Porsche parts (or at least a lot of them) is extreme as well as the cost. Drilled rotors and for that matter slotted rotors from many suppliers are just bling. Putting better/bigger brakes on the Subie will not make it stop better/shorter. They may provide better feel and could prevent brake fade, but they WILL NOT STOP THE CAR IN A SHORTER DISTANCE.
