They are airlift performance strut assemblies. It's not a BOC air setup. They're right out of the box.
-
Yes, I am bagged. I thought about moving the perches down but the pressure I drive at is actually pretty stiff as it is.
So far I have a front strut tower brace, rear LCAs, toe arms, and endlinks. I'm putting in new sub frame bushings, diff bushings, new swaybar bushings, new bushings on pretty much every control arm, and replacing every nut and bolt.
-
Sooo back to suspension questions. I'm dropping the whole rear sub frame and swapping a bunch of stuff in the process. When driving at speeds and turning relatively hard, I hate how much roll is in the rear end. So would a rear strut tower brace be beneficial or RSB? Not looking for track car performance, just much less roll.
-
I'm thinking the nt03s in an 18x9.5 with I think a 40 offset. I am going to go with 255/40 on them. How hard is the rear to roll?
You will probably need to cut the plastic fender lip coming from the bumper in the rear, or just let the tire rub against it to wear it down
-
With actually very little camber. Little fender pulling and minor cutting, you could run a 275
-
Depending on price and look

Thanks for pioneering this. Was planning to run 19x10 +30 next setup but i think i can squeeze in a 19x10 +15 - +20. 19x9.5 +40 is too sunk
Haha I agree. Was originally going to go with +15 but thought it would poke too much. I was wrong lol. Plan is to do 10mm spacers all around
-
How the hell did you get 19x10+30 to sit inside the fender well?
+28 it was actually a pretty reserved setup but no one has run anything like it before so didn't know exactly what specs to go with. I love the rear fitment but I might add a 10mm spacer upfront and maybe a 5mm or 10mm in the rear as well, just to add a little more camber

Wheels are on one of the many backed-up containers off the coast. Estimate is I will have them the first week of May
-
You have to think 1 inch all the way around. So add 1/2" to top and 1/2" to bottom
-
DC_Titus the tires are NANKANG NOBLE SPORT NS-20. The offset on the wheel is +40. I am interested to see your setup. Do not think anyone else had done a 10" wide wheel on 5th gen before. What wheel are you going to be running?
I'm not going to say much about the EXACT wheels but they are probably eating some nice sushi about now. Thanks for the info!
-
Yeah it is pretty stretched. I dig the look. The shop almost didnt mount them but they found a graph that showed that the tire size was the lowest possible for wheel width. The manager looked scared but the one mounting it was really into seeing the end result. I dig it , but i feel i def need more low than what springs can achieve.
I like the stretch. Definitely would look a lot better with less wheel gap. What tires are those? I will be doing a stretch 225/35/19 on a 10" wide wheel. I think I will be going with Toyo Proxes T1 Sports
EDIT: What is the offset on those wheels too? Just trying to get more of a visual of what mine will look like.

Ah so a nice flush setup. I currently have 18x8.5 +44. They sit pretty near flush in the front. Even after doing all the measurements, I was very nervous placing the order for the new wheels.
-
I'm almost thinking my setup I ordered isn't going to look how I want to either.
What look are you going for and what were the wheel specs? Also curious what wheels you went with
-
Haha, I am told they should be in a container in April, no exact delivery dates yet.
-
Go for it man. I'm the biggest advocate for not doing the norm and to be honest the next setup I was looking at is 19x10.5 +18 to +22 range.
Damn, thought I went aggressive-ish. Wheels I ordered back in january at 19x10+28. Didn't wanna go crazy but this should poke nicely in the front.
-
Wow, that is a really good deal! Jump on it

You guys that are slammed, how many of you actualy bought something to adjust rear camber? I'll be installing my BC's in the next few weeks, and with my work schedule it'd be nice if I have everything I need when I go to install. I've been ready to pull the trigger on some LCA's but now I'm starting to wonder if I'll really need them. The only reason I believe I would need them is to add MORE negative camber.
I understand lowering will cause a lot of negative camber, which is what I want as the wheels will be 18x8.5 +30 witha 245/40-18. My goal is to just have both rear wheels at roughly the same camber. Anyone care to share your alignment specs and whether or not you have a camber kit/LCA's?
I will be purchasing the ISC v2 LCAs and GTSpec rear toe arms for this exact reason. The wheels I order will be 19x10 +28 with a 225/35 tire and I plan to add a decent camber to the rear.
My current setup is 18x8.5 +44 with a 235/45 tire on BC coils, extreme low. I currently do not have aftermarket LCAs and I have about -3 degrees of camber (maybe slightly less, cannot seem to find my alignment sheet).

I have a 2.5 N/A as well. Did a custom spring-back (not cat-back) dual exhaust with resonator delete, Magnaflow performance mufflers, and 4 1/4" tips. Has a really nice rumble. Never done a sound clip of it but if it ever stops snowing over here I can get one this week or by next weekend.
