  1. Maryland has retarded gun laws and many pistols aren't approved for sale in that communist totalitarian shit hole. So good luck.

If I were you I'd buy a .22 target pistol so you actually learn trigger control and basic pistol marksmanship. No one listens to this advice because they don't know what try don't know. So enjoy developing a flinch and never hitting your target with the 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP you will inevitably buy as your first handgun.

Then I'd tell you to buy a medium framed 4" barrel .357 Magnum revolver and feed it .38 Special as your intro to center fire handguns. An all steel revolver is simple, durable, accurate, and versatile. Fed .38 Special it will recoil very little. When you're ready for more power you can run .357's in it. Pretty sure you can buy revolvers in shit ass Maryland too which is a bonus. You won't listen to that advice either and you'll buy a polymer framed striker fired pistol instead, and being Maryland the newer pistol with nicer triggers and ergonomics may not be approved so you'll buy a Glock 23 or something like that. It will have garbage sights, and a wretched trigger in addition to snappy recoil because it weighs next to nothing. You will shoot it poorly and be afraid of the recoil flinching at every shot and hitting nothing.

Great info thank you! I actually take the recommendations and use it to my advantage, thats why I asked here because I know you guys have a ton of experience on them. I will check with the local laws and rent a few before I go throwing money away on something that isnt what i want, just what i was sold on. Thanks again!

  2. Why would you get a pit from a breeder when there are something like 500,000 of them in the US available for adoption at any given time? Go to your local shelter, they are sure to have dozens of pit pups to choose from.

Disclaimer: I own a designer dog.

We check local shelters regularly and they arent as easy to find as you might think. At least not here in maryland. I would like to adopt but puppies are hard to come by. Plus im looking for a certain one. Thanks for the info though!

  3. Well it's been over a month since my last update...

with Xmas over I can finally put my focus back on my legacy. I will be looking to pick up a TMIC and finally send out my VF52 for a rebuild in the coming months, as well as make a decision on side or top feed.

I did install my fog lights, and not even two weeks later I see them both cracked.:mad:

    Picked up the following parts

    All weather legacy mats,

    AVO pitch stop,

    nexus7,

    upgraded oil line & filter,

    Grimspeed turbo heatshield

    09 replacement headlights

    DW300 fuel pump

    Retro-quick kit

Put on my winter wheels and tires, will be working on getting the tablet setup/installed, retrofitting the new projectors once they get here, as well as sourcing a few more parts. Some big things coming for 2017. Wishing you guys a very happy, prosperous, and joyful new year.

Talk to whoever you plan on using to tune about the side/top feed conversion. They will steer you in the right direction with pros and cons and what they like tuning best

  4. I really didn't feel any gain from going from the IPR tmic to the GS.

But the car was a little off as I knew I had a leak at the TB hose...that will not happen again.

I had to go back a few years to find a picture of the IPR,

    here's the GS,

I put some of the gold heat tape under the inlet inside of the tmic.

Oh i didnt realize you had an aftermarket intercooler on there already before you went to the grimmspeed. That would explain no difference then. I just went from stock tmic to grimmspeed and now im ordering an ebcs and getting retuned

  5. I was really only curious if you picked up any power going from the stock tmic to the grimmspeed tmic, that being the only change. I wouldnt expect much if any, and I agree with the ease of installation. I dont plan on upgrading my turbo in the near future, but if i do decide to go that route I already have the cooling covered. I only went with the grimmspeed because i feel its the best one on the market right now. Sorry to thread jack with that question!
  6. Perrin: 303whp/267wtq @ ~21lbs

    GrimmSpeed: 318whp/345wtq @ ~22lbs

Those were the changes on my BNR HTA71. We fixed a MAF issue at the same time as the GS install and I think that's why the TQ number is so much higher, but he felt that most of the peak HP change was due to the TMIC.

Wow! Thats quite an improvement over the perrin. Thanks for the info. Im still on stock turbo for now

  7. I am at 121,000 right now and she runs great.

Just replaced the radiator about 1,000 miles ago.

I replaced the CV Axle Boot and the clutch at 115k as the boot had ripped and the clutch failed.

Had done water pump, timing belt, and thermostat (as well as all fluid replacement) at 103k.

Hoping she'll keep running another 50k trouble free but some of the turbo posts I see have me wondering? The banjo bolt looked clean though at 115k.

I just hit 125k miles and all is great as well! Keep up on oil changes and maintenence and your turbo should be fine. Good luck!

  8. I like the Stradia II/Gias II better (of course I am not paying for it....), but ability to change your seat position + easier ingress / egress due to the slightly lower sides.

The Zeta looks great for a car that's almost exclusively a track car.

Do you have the option to not lower yourself 3.2 inches?

Do these work with any airbags?

    I agree!

  9. The 5eat can handle a lot of power if you have the right people build the Transmission. I won't waste your time going over my specific situation other than to say my new Subaru engine puts out close to 900 whp and I will be using the 5eat transmission that will be built shortly by Level 10. Along with highly modifying and re-programming the 5eat transmission the transmission, based on my discussion with Level 10, is capable of handling up to 1100 horsepower. Obviously this vehicle is used for carshows and drag racing only. We expect to turn about 150 to 160 in a little over 8 seconds starting this next summer.

We will believe it when we see it... good luck!

  10. Ok guys I might of figured out an issue. After hooking up the accessport I'm notcing thaty my boost hits 15 for a fraction of a second and quickly drops to 10.car feels underpowered so I'm thinking a boost leak somewhere? What are some of the most common areas to check and to look for on these cars? I also scanned for errors and No check engine codes.

I'm also going to take care of the heat factor, since I don't have a heat sheild or Anything atm. Just bare turbo

Note I do have a gfb response. I installedit as is? Possibly leaking Bov?

    you need a tune
