I grew up in Yorkville so I'm not too far off......there are lots of hicks once you hit Sandwich and go further west. I recall a lot of crazy parties out there. :icon_biggThe Hogger is one rough place.
I worked at the True Value Hardware Store for nearly 3 years during High School.
Dated a girl from Yorkville too
+1 on the Parties. :icon_bigg

know the Klenzmans from Somonauk? bosco
Knew the Kuesters, but no Klenzmans. Sorry
-
Lake Holiday is a decent place besides the surrounding hicks. You should have stopped in for some consumption at the hogger.....real nice place.
I am (was) one of those "hicks" you refer to... Grew up in Somonauk. Lived at Lake Holiday before we built a house on Buck Lake north of town. Been to the Hogger (and had pizza from Cody's in Sheridan).

Yea, speeking of NY state and lake effect, I may be heading that way next week. Hopefully, the continuous dumping of snow will have tapered off....
By the way: Spotted: Black LGT with a spoiler going westbound on 694 at Victoria about 4:44 today. Looked like a guy but hard to tell.

That wouldn't be so bad, would it?
New thread?
Yes, time for a new thread. FYI, I can't come to a meet until March 3 at the earliest (unless you all don't mind me showing up in our plow truck...)
My Legacy has succumbed to the dreaded turbo failure issue and is in need of some "fixin"... Won't be done until end of February...

Crap ... we need to set up a meet. Last time we did a winter meet it got up to like 45 degrees ... just what we need!
Then again, the more I think of it, we just have "extreme" weather for every meet - 45 in January, 45 (again) in June (wtf?), 103 in July ... with the luck we've had lately, a meet could push us down to -30!
Perhaps instead of temperature extremes, maybe at our next meet we'll have a precipitation extreme. You know, like 2 feet of snow in 24 hours.....

Two sightings yesterday ...
GRP GT Ltd Sedan going from 35W south to 494 East @ 8:10 am
White or Silver LGT Sedan (couldn't tell due to being really dirty thanks to our weather the last two days) Fully debadged east-bound on 84th at the Normandale intersection ... about 5:20 pm.
Neither of them were me but wow, two LGTs in one day, pretty amazing..

Seems like a nice guy. He's been on here, but isn't a member. Next time we have a meet I'll drop him a note and see if he wants to meet some of the locals.
Yea, some them except for Twisted,,,,we wouldn't want to scare him off after his first meet
BTW, ABP LGT w Spoiler on 35 E North of DTSTP about 8:30 AM. Behind and next to him for 3-4 minutes - Didn't even get a look...
-
Lookin' good bosco...
-
BBS RE's 18 x 8 with 245/40 Eagle F1's
Looks good...

Silver LGT Sedan with tinted windows (Twisted?) in Downtown St. Paul, 94 & 52 going East on 94 on Friday around 5:30 PM.
APB Outback Turbo Wagon on 52 heading South towards Rochester. Got a look and a wave>
-
Black Outback with black rims turning from Valley Creek onto Radio Drive in Woodbury Sunday around 745 PM.
2 sightings within 3 hours, must be some kind of record....
-
Satin White LGT Sedan parked at the Afton Pier on Sunday around 5 PM.

I love that dealership, I just hate the Sales Manager!
Best Service department in the cities though, in my opinion.
The Service Manager (Jeff) is Top Notch, and their Subaru Master Tech Bob is a great guy. Can't say enough good things about them.

T...how did the autoX go on Saturday?
It went pretty well. 5 clean runs, (no cones) and I dropped 3 seconds off my time from the first run to the last. Top times overall were in the 65 second range and my best was 75 seconds. First time in 9 years and first time with the Legacy. Got lots of positive comments about the car.
As far as Red Wing goes, I kinda like MN 60 from Wabasha to Zumbrota...lotsa curves. You must be a mind reader. That is one of the roads I was thinking about. When do you all want to do this? Late August or when the leaves start turning?
-
Yamie, that is one sharp looking wagon...
I meant to tell you that yesterday but had to run
Thanks for the pics
So Twisted, how was your drive in RFD's car? Comments?
-
Regardless of what we decide for this weekend, I nominate Mr. T to organize a future meet in Red Wing or thereabouts, so that we can actually go for a group drive.
Shoo nuff! I could introduce y'all to a little southern (MN) hospitality!
I also know a few roads that might be worthy of our time....
-
I don't really care where we meet but, I would rather avoid the downtowns (or most areas inside the beltway for that matter). Something close to 494 -694 works better for me. Of course, there are some great places to meet in Red Wing.....
-
I'm interested in a meet. Western Subs preferred...
Mr. T: What time is autoX? I want to at least try to come and see...
Timed runs start at 10:30 am. 150 cars. 98 degrees and humid. Should be really thirsty by 3 pm
-
I assume we are still talking about Saturday the 15th?
Time and Place?
I might show up if it is later in the afternoon....
I'll be otherwise occupied earlier in the day :icon_bigg
-
I am sure some
young adult
would probably
try an almost 40 yr. old Mom with two boys.
:icon_bigg
:icon_bigg
Reminds me of my own (distant) past....

If you want to draw in some different people, we could advertise in City Pages that we are having a "Leggy" meet and see who shows up.>>>
East Side Rules!
-
Spectating or participating? What time?
I was thinking of participating. Runs start around 10 am.
-
There is an autocross on July 15 at the Dakota County Technical Center in Rosemount that I was thinking about attending. If the meet is later in the afternoon, I might be able to show up....
Official: North Central Spotted thread! Newbs see if youve been seen!

What I want to know is why is Twisted dressing like a woman and wearing a lavendar coat?
