  1. Is there any consensus on the Energy 19.3104 front control arm bushings? Good , bad, ok? There seems to be a negative opinion on the Energy - is it because they have no sleeve? By the way it looks like SuperPro now makes a fully loaded control arm... not bad. Is this a good option? I'm not that concerned about the $260 price tag (from Vivid Racing) since it will save me some time dealing with a shop to press in bushings, I don't have a press. https://superprousa.com/products/trc1058-control-arm-lower-assembly-kit
  2. Does anyone know the difference between 34439AE021 and 34439FG000? I have a 2005 Outback 2.5i. Thanks.
  3. It was from ebay but the link does not work anymore because it has been too long I guess. FWIW the USDM parts.subaru.com site shows the same part for the 2.5, XT and 3.0 Outback.
  4. My thought was that the legacy one is probably shorter. I know that the Outback PN is not the same as the Legacy one for the same model year. My Outback PN was 34170AG041 which is the longer one in the picture above. Probably someone will have to pull theirs out or at least look at theirs under the vehicle to confirm the one I am selling fits a Legacy. The 34170AG041 also fits 3.0 Outbacks : https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru__/Steering-Shaft-Universal-Joint/49245174/34170AG041.html So basically I can only confirm that it is NOT part number 34170AG041 and will NOT fit an 05-09 Outback with any motor.
  5. I have a low miles JDM steering U-joint that is smooth in all directions. It was advertised for an Outback but doesn't fit my 05 USDM Outback. $50 shipped, and I will throw in a Subaru pint glass. I paid $80 for it on eBay. I am assuming that it is for a Legacy but not 100% sure. I have included pictures of both the Outback and Legacy U-joints for reference. The difference is in the length of one of the splined ends. Note that the Outback version is over 9" in length and the one I am selling, marked EZ30 is under 9". Please let me know and I can try to get more exact measurements.
  6. Ahhh nice, I would suspect the potential is much quicker with an 128mph trap speed. I have been thinking about doing a forged motor supercharged EZ30 with 5EAT (that is what they come with here). I think it could make 600whp fairly easily on my Vortech V3 Si that I currently have on my EJ25. Just a thought right now!!!
  7. That is wild - seems like this should be one of the quickest H pattern (assuming it is not sequential?) Subarus out there? are there more pictures somewhere?
  8. Thanks I am curious what was your trap speed? Is that with a built 5EAT?
  9. That is a lot of power but I would have thought quite a bit faster for the power (?). Trap speed?
  10. Curious what did your car end up running or how fast have you gone in the legacy with 5EAT? It is very hard to find documented "fast" 5EAT cars. Level 10 is essentially local to me, same with IPT, so that is nice.
  11. At the moment I have a very large cone filter in the stock airbox location, probably not bad for IAT. If nothing else, leaving the air filter ON and temporarily removing the fog light for a drag strip day should not hurt, but not sure if it would help to make it worth the effort. If I could get the air UP to cool my supercharger (like the brake duct one) that might be the best use of it.
  12. Has anyone come up with a decent way to do this? My goal would be getting intake air as close to ambient as possible. I will have a large Cone air filter sitting down in that area where the airbox used to be. I could just remove the pax side fog light but I think it will look pretty bad. I don't need either fog light so willing to remove both, but would like something that looks decent and preferably inconspicuous. Maybe it would look fine w/o the fog light at all? Just a big gaping hole?
  13. Are the P-204UH any more reliable than P-201UH or P-203UH? I am on my 3rd 201 and 203. The CD player just stops working altogether, and then the climate controls are intermittently funky. For example it goes completely blank but the radio is still on and the volume does nothing. Eventually it comes back to life. I am really just looking for a drop in replacement that is less likely to break. What about swapping in the manual climate controls - would that even work? Then I could just run an aftermarket HU?
  14. I haven't tried talking to NGK but the BKR6EIX is an excellent spark plug so it should not really give me any issues.
  15. I don't think so - I don't generally put any on. I've never had any problem getting the plugs out.
  16. Thanks - I've tried both coppers and iridiums down to .021" . Right now it's on copper's but I think iridiums are superior for boost. It is only misfiring on cyl #1 (all running same plugs and gap). These are both #6 plugs. I have not tried #7's and not really sure if they are necessary. It only makes about 380-400 crank hp. but if I figure out the problem will go up to about 450 crank hp and ~17psi. I am sure I can and should run quite a bit larger gap than .021", I just shrunk it down so far in an effort to see if the misfire would go away. I do run water/meth, so there is more "stuff" in the cylinder to get a spark through but #3,2 and 4 have no issues.
  17. I have a 2005 EJ259 (NA) with a 14psi supercharger on it. It misfires on cyl 1 and only occurs under high load higher rpm (5200+rpm). I have tried swapping coil, plug, wires and injector and it doesn't go away. It is the highest leaking cylinder, around 8% and the leakage feels like it is coming from the exhaust valves (I did the leak down test with the motor out and felt air on the exhaust side of the head). Compression is still really decent like 175psi. I'm thinking about having the heads redone but thinking I should be considering popping the cylinder out of the bore to examine it. Any ideas on the symptoms?
  18. I spent 72 dollars testing wheels (return shipping) from TireRack so I'm done now, i'll order Methods when I'm ready.
  19. sorry yeah I tested the 15s , they don't fit with standard backspacing (40-45mm). You need 15mm which makes them stick out far, and to me looks poor. The only ones that fit now as far as I know are going to be Method VT Specs.
  20. Certain 15's fit on a NA Outback (not sure if XT brakes are bigger?) I'm just not sure if Sparco Terra are one of them.
  21. Does anyone know if the 5x100 45mm offset Sparco Terra's in a 15" diameter will fit a 2005 Outback? (I.e. will they clear the brakes): https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&autoMake=Subaru&autoModel=Impreza+2.5RS+Wagon&autoYear=2005&autoModClar=&initialPartNumber=W29070004MB&i1_Qty=4&wheelMake=Sparco&wheelModel=Terra&wheelFinish=Black+Painted&wheelFinish=Black+Painted&showRear=no&packageFlow=false
