  1. Ahh, I was thinking about waving, but there's 3-4 Legacies I see in that area during my commute in the morning, and none of them are on here I think so I stopped waving.
LOL, that's exactly the same thing with me. Only about 25% of Legacy GT drivers I see seem like they might as well be driving a Taurus, so when I wave I usually get looked at like I'm from Mars. I get a much better wave-back percentage from WRXs, and of course anything with an STi badge on it.

What are you getting from wheeldude? I was just there last wednesday to pick up tires.
I just came back from there literally about 20 minutes ago. I picked up a set of silver Rota Gravels, tires, and a set of spline drive lugs. I also visited the guys at Speed Element and ordered a set of springs - I should have everything installed by some time mid next week. :)
  2. 5:40-ish pm, San Jose

I saw a white Legacy 2.5GT on Hostetter from Lundy all the way up until the driver turned right on Flickinger. It had plates "GOTSAIL", but I haven't figured out what it means. I never got a chance to pull up alongside and say hello. I was in the '06 Impreza WRB sedan a few cars back.

That car parks at a business right near my house every day. Not sure what the plate means either.

  3. There's an ABP Legacy that parks half a block down from my house on Bellomy Street near Jefferson in Santa Clara. You wouldn't have seen me because my car's in the garage, but you have a base model 5mt completely stock except for the roof rack. Are you on here??? I've seen you a few times starting a week or so ago.

That's not me, but since you're so close to where I live I had to reply. I'm over on Main near Benton. Lots of Legacys in Santa Clara... Cool. :)

  4. I've got a double sighting. First one was on Friday the 4th. White LGT sedan parked off of Tasman in Santa Clara. Somebody around here works at SVB...

Second sighting was on my way back from Tahoe earlier today. Black LGT sedan with wing headed northbound on highway 5 in the Sacramento area, just south of the highway 50 interchange.

  5. Saw a silver 1999 Legacy GT sedan in Santa Clara, heading northbound on Benton near Lafayette. It had aftermarket gunmetal rims but I didn't get a good look at the make.

Anyway, he was waiting at a stoplight to cross Lafayette and I was making a right turn next to him. We both waved at each other before I took off. It was great seeing an "older" model Legacy in such good shape. Very nice ride.

  6. Dark blue LGT Ltd. with Stevens Creek Subaru dealer plates on it, this morning heading east on Coleman around 8:30 am. I waved; he waved.

Yep, I thought that was you - it was me you saw. You caught me with a dirty car too. I'm getting it washed this weekend, I promise!

It took a second for me to realize that you were behind me. At first glance, I thought it was an Impreza back there... except the headlights weren't quite right... and the hood scoop was too small... About 2 seconds later, my brain registered the fact that it was actually a 2005 Legacy GT, which is why I did a double-take. :)

  7. It was a MT, tross: mine. Where were you? Not in the Mazda 6 that passed by just before I turned, correct?

You are correct, I was not in the Mazda 6. I was, however, directly behind it in my Legacy. I was thinking about trying to get up next to you in the left lane and waving hello, but after I saw you turning right I just decided to stay put.

I work about one block farther down Mary, more or less across from the post office, so I'm in the area often. Maybe we'll see each other on the road of these times again soon.

Nice to meet you in person ... well, sort of. :D

  8. Well, I finally spotted my first non-Outback 2005 Legacy of any kind since I bought mine 4 weeks ago. It was a silver 2005 2.5GT non-limited Legacy wagon, turning east on Maude from northbound Mary Ave. in Sunnyvale around 1:05pm today. I don't know what kind of tranny it had, but if it was MT then it was nearly an exact copy of mine. Cool.

    And, on a separate note:

Tuesday, 5 July, 6:00 pm. I saw a brand new blue Legacy GT wagon on El Camino in Sunnyvale. The driver honked at me and I honked back.
That's freaky - I was in that area at nearly the exact same time. You almost saw two blue Legacy GT wagons.
