  1. Koni sport shocks with h&r sport springs. I think I'm going to go with the smaller whiteline adjustable rear sway bar. I'm happy with the amount of roll right now (i.e. not much, as you can see in the picture). I just want it balanced more towards oversteer. No point in getting both bars.

  2. Had some good fun at an autocross this weekend. Not the usual set up, more informal fun kind of day. Gave us 1 warmup lap and 5 timed laps per "session" or run, with 2 runs. Fastest single lap time wins. More like a mini-time-trial. Anyways, here's my video:

    And also, the results... http://www.clemsonscc.org/autox_results/2013-05-04/fun_raw.htm

Notice the Scoobie for the Mature (that's me) ahead of all those Miatas... Mwahaha. I need an RSB.

  3. Hey, bought mine in Georgia as well.

So I got my springs and struts installed. Wooo! What a difference. The car handles road imperfections mid-corner amazingly. Granted, my former ride was a mid 90's Mustang, so not the best of comparisons... But I love it. Now I just need a tune so I can throw this uppipe and downpipe on...

Anyone going to the autocross/car show this weekend in Greenville?

  4. I've used one of these many times... Worth its weight in gold, in my opinion. 5. Yeah... I found a few records from New York in the paperwork that the PO gave me, which would explain why there's more rust underneath than I was expecting for a 7 year old car with only 58k miles, though it's been registered in Georgia its whole life. Now to find a propane torch..
  6. Thanks for the info!

    I am there!

My unit is down that way. Across from the Anderson mall, the Martin Luther King Jr. side.

    Right off Clemson Boulevard.

I'm down there once a month for drill

Awesome, would love to see you there.

If enough people from a club pre-register (10 I think) you can get parking together and space to set up a tent. Otherwise if you all just roll in at the same time the parkers can get you together. I'll probably be autocrossing my car :D

  7. How much are you looking to get for it?

By the way, I already posted in this thread, but.. My name is Tyler, I'm from Clemson and a part of the Clemson Sports Car Club. I'm new to the Legacy scene (just picked up an 05 with 57k miles, was stock). The Sports Car Club is having a car show / autocross in Greenville -it would be awesome to meet some of you guys there!

  8. Hmm, can you do me a favor and log battery voltage when you do are having this problem with the cutting out of the logs? I want to test a theory.... thanks.

I did this after reading about how replacing the battery fixed it. I don't think I have the log anymore, but voltage was constant throughout the pull.

  9. and the RomRaider woes continue. Can't get it to log at WOT which seems to be a common error.

I had this same problem. Are you using a VAG-COM cable? I borrowed a friend's official tactrix openport 1.3 cable (threw on two ferrite beads I had attached to my vag-com cable for good measure) and had no problems getting WOT pulls.

Also - reporting in from Clemson SC :)

  10. Yes there have been multiple reports of that problem but no concrete solution. I have personally seen a problem where data values logged were not what was expected. Such as a 3rd gear pull and the Throttle Position started at 100% in the log then random values appeared until the end of the pull. A low-level RomRaider trace indicated that it is what the ECU was sending out. Either that or the serial driver for the cable started to act weird and caused the random numbers to appear. Unfortunately there's no way to trace the serial driver.

Then we tried to repeat the problem using the Openport 2.0 standalone logger and it read just fine. So maybe that does point to a driver problem either USB or serial VCP.

Has anyone had any issues with romraider halting data logging at WOT. I've no issues with idling and driving normally, but during a WOT third gear pull romraider inevitably fails at ~4k and stops data logging. I've read multiple threads/ideas concerning spark plugs and random EMF; there does not, however, appear to be a solution. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Has there been any progress on this in the last year? I'm having the same problem. Bought a vag-com cable off Amazon, spent a few hours futzing with the drivers and such so now both ecuflash and rr are happy (I can read and flash, and I can log as long as I'm not WOT >~4500RPM). But, as with the guy above, all my logs seem to cut out between 4-5kRPM and then come back after the pull is over. RR doesn't crash, and has no trouble continuing to log once the ECU starts responding again. I've tried 2 and 4 ferrite chokes on the cable, and it still doesn't work. I can drive around to my heart's content, but the second I go WOT and let it pull, it dies...
