  1. Going to replace my axle tomorrow. Also, making slow progress on my clock replacement mod... Talks to both the factory ECU via SSM to get any engine parameters you want (boost, wgdc, knock sum, coolant temp, etc) as well as the original trip computer for boring things like mpg and distance to empty. Second screen arrives tomorrow. Left one will have ECU info, right one will have trip info and clock.

  2. Good thing you had a great reaction time, otherwise, the other car might have taken it. What was the other car? (not trying to be snarky, without that .32 sec advantage, the other car would have you all the way to the 1/8 or farther)

do you remember your tire pressures? Curious about running all-season tires at the dragstrip.

Yeah... That's not how drag strip timing works ;) None of the times listed include reaction time. And a .237 isn't particularly good either - I could reliably do <0.100 in my previous car. AWD is tricky to launch though, so I was focused more on that than the tree.

But, for the record, it was a brand new Audi A7 3.0t. No idea if it was modded or not, but he was running 13.5-13.9 all night. Around 40psi in the tires... at least, that's what it was last time I checked about a month ago

  3. Headed to the strip tonight for the first time. Not too shabby!

  4. Not for the NASA event, but I will be going next month to see the last ever ALMS race.

I think I remember seeing your car at the Greenville tech auto-x. Are you actually in Greenville now?

Yep, that was me, and yes I am. I graduated and start work on Tuesday :spin:

Apparently there's some kind of car meet on Sundays by the burlington coat factory / hooters, so I'm going to check that out tonight... Probably a bunch of ricers.

Edit: Pretty decent turnout tonight, at least compare to what I'm used to. Good variety too. Had your donks (lifted 80's/90's american cars with huge wheels) in one area, lots of riced out civics and such in another, a bunch of mustangs somewhere else, some trucks, some corvettes, a viper. Might go again next weekend

  5. I'm Tyler, I just moved to Greenville. Looking at my Legacy you wouldn't suspect anything (stock exhaust and wheels) but I'm on here! It's lower if you look closely. It's brilliant silver, has a crack in the rear bumper and the paint scuffed off all 4 corners (idiot previous owner). That will be fixed with my first paycheck...

Is anyone going down to Georgia for the NASA event at Road Atlanta next weekend?

  6. Just want to say thanks to Dave for being awesome and very flexible during my whole transition to stage 2. Ended up taking around 3 weeks after I got my base map to get everything installed correctly (someone sold me an up pipe with a f*%king hole behind one of the heat shields). Just about finished tuning now, couldn't be happier.

Would like a dyno run someday to see the results but for now I guess the airboy spreadsheet calculated dyno will do.

  7. Just reinstalled everything.... Aaaand it's no better. I think I'm going to try and put my stock DP back on this afternoon and see if that makes a difference.

The never-ending stage 2 install! Tore everything back out again today, installed a different up pipe. Three trips to the parts store for gaskets and studs later, everything is back in... Except the gasket they gave me for the downpipe-to-catback doesn't fit. :spin: Turns out that the uppipe Allpro Subaru sold me had a HOLE in it somewhere behind a heat shield. Got a friend's STI uppipe for free and now there's no more leak there, at least.

    Meh.

Exhaust shop said he doesn't really do turbo cars because it takes too long. Anyone in the clemson area want to help a brother out? x.x On top of this, yesterday morning I got a P0123 CEL and the car went into limp mode. Again this morning. I cleared the code and it seemed to act better after the car warmed up... But I pulled the intercooler off and took a look anyway. Everything looked alright - I didn't unplug the wire or anything.

I wish allpro subaru wasn't 2 freaking hours away...
