  1. I did it last night, it was free. If I remember right, you get either 3 years free updates, or 3 free updates. Check it out on this site:

Damn im guessing its 3 years since its charging me 200 bucks for a replacement SD and won't even give me the option to download the update.

She has a 2013 and the maps are from 2012 -_______-

  2. Dropped off the Crosstrek at the dealer this morning because the blower motor sounds like it's on it's last leg. I asked yesterday about them updating the NAV since it is a 2016. Found out I could have done it myself for free this whole time. You download a program from Subaru and stick the SD card in your computer. It checks it then downloads the new map. Now it's all up to date. Too bad it's not that easy (or cheap) with my car.

mmmm I don't think its free. For my gf's Crosstrek its like 150 or 200 bucks for the most recent maps. Im waiting for 2019 maps to comeout so I don't waste my monies

  3. Oh I thought you mean the factory exhaust headshields. Nothing like what you posted exists for our car to my knowledge. You'd have to get something made for another model and modify it to make it work. That's pretty much a 4th gen or STI type thing.

Yeah I was hoping someone had done it so I could buy one =p. When I got the car dyno'd a little while ago the squat was too real and melted the bumper a bit. I will just buy a new bumper and get it repainted :spin::spin:

  4. And my second project today: carbon fiber ez lip under my Bayson lip, with brackets to improve the shape of the corners. I initially installed this ez lip two nights ago, and was on the fence about it keeping it or not. I loved the silver-black-silver contrast, but the way the corners drooped down really irked me and looked a bit crappy and cheap, and it was honestly driving me nuts. Then I had a spark of inspiration, and found this 4-pack of zinc brackets at Lowes, and used them to brace the corners up, and it worked perfectly. The screws are also just short enough to not pierce the top edge of the Bayson lip too. Compare the before and after pics, the difference is small, but it makes such a night and day difference in the shape. Where I was on the verge of removing the lip, I'm now super satisfied with how it came out. Looks much more like an actual lip than just a piece of rubber stuck to my bumper (even though that's what it is ). Not everyone's cup of tea, I acknowledge, but I think I managed to make something unique and interesting given our limited options of front end stuff, and for $20 for the lip roll and $2.50 for the brackets, I'm pretty please with the outcome. :)

Link me? If there is an all black one I would be all over it.

  5. No idea man, I literally asked the same question when Sam from Andrewtech told me they had one. I thought he had to be full of it or might think I had a 4th gen but sure enough he was right so I brought my car and they installed it. They might've done a small production run or maybe fabbed one up for a customer who didn't end up wanting it. I've been planning to take it to Turboxs to get a proper tune from them and get the full story as to how it came about, just haven't had the money yet.

My cars at Andrewtech now. When I grab it today I can stop by and see if they have anymore. I doubt they do though. I would ask Sam but hes rarely there now =/
