  1. I love the look of bikes on the roof. That said even though I'm 6'2 I just got tired of it. I still have two for the roof if I need but my kuat is the way to go. Especially as bikes keep getting heavier.

After the 5+ years working in shops and 20ish riding, I won't go back to the roof.

I too like the asthetic of bikes/box mounted on the roof, especially on a wagon.

But I ended up with a hitch mounted 1UP USA rack and really like it.

I'm not much for superstition but here goes....I placed an order for a new truck back in January. It arrived at the dealer yesterday and I scheduled the delivery today after lunch. I had an appointment to get my ears lowered bright and early. Fired up the 2009 LGT and off I went. Half way to the barber shop I hear some noise.....a tick actually that was reminiscent of an exhaust leak. I thought that was weird. A cple corners later and now I hear a knock but oddly enough it would come and go. At times the car sounded fine. Got my hair did.....back in the car and it's ticking now full time. Get home just fine and check the oil for the second time today.....yes....before I left early in the AM I performed the weekly check and it was fine. Mind you this car has 74k miles and does not consume oil. I check it once a week regardless. Let it sit while make some stops in the Durango. Start it up a while later and now it is full on knocking, ticking.....sounds horrible. FML.

Sorry for the rant here but this car knew that a new truck was coming home today and it gave me the mile high middle finger. And for the record I drove this car like a grandpa and took very good care of it.

Sale or part out thread soon. 2009 LGT/5EAT. Clean.

    New ride.....

Damn, that would definitely ruin new truck day for me! Hopefully you get some good news.

That's a pretty sharp looking 5th gen, they're starting to grow on me, but I'm still in love with my 4th gen. Actually on my 3rd engine with my 05 OBXT, which spurred the purchase of the truck.

Edit just noticed it was a 2500, so I guess a 4.5 gen? Lol

  3. On a related note, this is part of the problem with self swab test sites, like the CVS test locations.

That swab has to go waaaayyy up inside your nose/nasal cavity. My girlfriend got tested a month or so ago. It is very uncomfortable. Said the tester held her head in place while getting deep inside her. The average non-sadistic person won't swab themselves correctly, so if you're swabbing yourself, you almost certainly won't be collecting a good specimen

    Can confirm.

I had to be tested before coming out to work (offshore oil drilling rig).

Before the test, the nurse gave me a tissue that I didn’t know what to do with. After the first nostril, my eyes were watering like a fountain. Needed to collect myself before I let her go round 2 on my other nostril.

  4. ^^^ loving the engine back of your obxt. Killer B headers too ?

Serious question though. I see you are running an aeromotive FPR. Looks like you've capped off one end, forward of the engine bay. I saw a thread on here before showing how to route the fuel lines with an aftermarket FPR and they also mentioned capping off one side. Also, what did you have to do otherwise to make that work? What fittings/adapters did you use? Just verifying what you had to do to make that work.

    Loving the wagon life.

Yep, KB header with a polydyn coating after I got a crack where the 4 runners meet. KB fixed for free and "upgraded" my header with their new, more robust, cast collector.

My setup is the Agency Power Parellel fuel line kit, ID top feed conversion kit/rails/injectors, aeromotive FPR, and various Russell fuel fittings.

There is only 1 return line from the agency power dist. block, so only one port is utilized on the FPR, plus the return line back to the tank exiting the bottom of the FPR.

Not sure on what exact fittings were used, I'd have to go back and check my receipts.

I didn't get this exact kit as I already had rails, pretty sure I just emailed them directly and custom orderes my lines.

They appear to be the samco hoses. I've only ever seen the upper and lower radiator ones available and I have seen them in black as well.

Yep, SAMCO coolant, breather, vacuum, ancillary.

additional question, where'd you get your silicone hoses? and do they make black?

Roger Clark Motorsport out of the UK. The kits get pricey, but customer support and shipping were top notch.

Also the website has changed since I purchased a couple years ago. Email customer support is good, save for the time change, if you have any questions.

  5. I believe I experienced/am experiencing the same issue, also having completed the FP/FPCM wiring upgrade.

Normal day to day driving I never noticed an issue, but when I would come back from offshore (the car being parked for 15 days) the battery would be dead.

I'd jump it and not experience any issues over the 12 days I would be home.

  6. Purchased an 08 STi Trans/Diff swap with spec B axels and driveshaft. And not really surprisingly (thanks to all the information in this thread) I believe I have everything else (small parts) lined up to complete the swap!

  7. A buddy and I were installing parallel fuel lines and an Aeromotive FPR; had everything installed including a new bracket he fabbed up for the FPR on the drivers side of the intake manifold, only to realize we hadn't accounted for the FMIC piping that had been taken out to make give us more room when running the fuel lines.
