  1. I hate to seem like a sceptic, but isn't this only half of the solution? I get that these ducts solve the problem of gathering air from the front of the car, but directing the air to where it will have a cooling effect is also important. Attaching the duct hose to the suspension so that air is aimed at the backing plate is better than nothing. But, ideally, there should be a bracket that attaches the hose so that it directs air through a hole in the backing plate and onto the rotor itself. No?
  2. Now you're confusing me. Are you contradicting your earlier statement? Or when you say "mileage goes down" do you mean that fuel efficiency improves?
  3. OK, you're right that there are two different issues here. The accuracy of the instrumentation after going to larger injectors. Whether or not actual fuel mileage is affected after going to larger injectors. We know the answer to #1. For #2, my gut tells me that mileage will drop. But, as someone already said, it probably depends on a combination of factors including other mods and how you drive. In practical terms, though, anyone who goes to the trouble of modding the car is going to drive in such a way that mileage will suffer.
  4. But, what about....http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/injectors-affect-mpgi-192451.html?t=192451
  5. No way mileage is better than stock. It only looks that way on the instrumentation - which is calibrated for stock injectors, etc.

  7. Somehow, I missed the fact that you're interested in road racing. Therefore, I retract all my unkind words:). As far as being a "wanna be" racer, we're all "wanna be" racers unless we're making our living doing it. The point is that it takes a certain amount of dedication and passion to prepare a car for the track and then actually do it. I've been a "wanna be" racer since 1962 and I'm still winning and loving it.
  8. I think the "brutal" comment was directed at me. But I like your statement about "owning it." You grow up when you learn not to turn your problems into other people's problems. Are you listening, kid?
  9. Good thing for him this spoiled brat is not my kid - not that I'd ever subject myself to having any:mad:
  10. OK, please explain again why I got more understeer when I added adjustable lower links and dialed in more negative camber? I assumed it was because I got a better contact patch in the rear and thus better adhesion under cornering. You seem to be saying that lengthening the lower control arm (increasing neg camber) will reduce progressive toe in during compression (cornering) and thereby increase tossability (oversteer).

Pipe is separated into its two sections, so you'll need gaskets, of course.
