I might do the same now..grab a 1.2bar, cause Im about 19psi.
Yeah i think you would be alright with either but you might get better boost response with the 1.2.
-
Which spring did you acquire? I believe mine came with 1.0 bar
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
I picked the 1.2 bar which is about 17psi spring. I will be running about 21-22 psi so that should be fine.

I just bought an adjustable actuator from them for my VF43 bnr68. 100$ shipped, which is about half price compared to Forge and AVO. Hopefully it will perform just as well.

Looks like its coming together!

So after installing this cable again it turns out I may be upgrading to a iPhone 5. Because it has the digital only lightning port, can I use the apple 30 pin to lightning adapter with this? I've seen mixed reviews of that adapter not working correctly, as in not charging and playing music.
Anyone using an iPhone 5 with this?
Bump, can anyone confirm this?

I would also like to know this but I think it should be fine.

My iPhone connector (iSimple) that came with the kit had been working great until recently the charging part if the cable started to flicker on and off charging and now it won't charge at all. Playback has been fine, no cutting in or out.
Can I just easily replace the cable? I haven't been able to find it online. Any help Jazzy?
I have the same issue except i cant charge or play. Did you check the ground cable and the fuse wothin the jAzzy kit?

Wow ive been away for a while, cant wait to see everything back together and tuned. I'm hoping my engine lasts through the end of the season, I'm not ready to blow it yet.

What's the deal with the core program?
He no longer offers the core program since he makes his own housing now.
-
It may be just be the cx500 - I will have to check but it is a legacy/2008+ wrx fitment. I did not get that turbo new and it has been passed on through the hands of some close friends - bmx045 is where it all began! I will have to check the pictures of the serial tag to make sure what it is and will correct the first post with right part numbers if necessary.
That turbo sounds like she is a slut
-
@gordata - The Spearco was a direct fit for the car because we share the same engine/TMIC setup as the 08+ WRX - If you are going with an STi Turbo do you mean it will be rotated or direct fit? Pretty sure with patience and ingenuity you can make anything work!
Unfortunately no tmic will work with an sti turbo. You must run a fmic for that setup since the turbo faces a different way. There might be some kind of crazy way to do it but it isn't worth the hassle.

In for all the secrets that will be revealed.

Not sure if it's any help or relevant to yours, but this is a photo of my BNR EVO3 16g with new BNR compressor cover and 'upgraded actuator' which comes standard now... 0.8 to 1.2bar from memory and set to 13psi when it leaves BNR.

New housing looks so amazing, thanks for the pic. I have confirmed with Bryan that I definitely have the stock actuator so I am going to order one today.
-
That appears to be a painted stock actuator. The upgraded actuators are visibly much larger. I just swapped mine out on my BNR turbo because of the same issue.
Does BNR have their own brand of actuator or do they use the AVO?
-
How do I tell if I have an upgraded actuator on my VF43 BNR68? I bought it used from a forum member on Nasioc and the owner didnt know. Bren (my tuner) said that my car was acting like I needed the upgraded actuator and I want to make sure I don't already have one.

Wow you made this look way to easy . I might just have to try this myself now . Awesome videos!

It's in the engine bay. Mini blue fuse along the side and corner.
Wow I got it and I have no idea how I missed it last time. Thanks.
-
Is the 15amp fuel pump fuse in the engine bay or the cabin? I searched the engine bay when doing my fuel pump and I could not find it anywhere. I'm pretty sure I checked the fuses inside the car as well but I gave up and just removed the fuel pump anyways so I never figured it out. I will be doing the injectors tomorrow so I would really like to know exactly where it is.

Wow that wagon is gorgeous!

Where are you guys installing the ground wire for the iSimple?
-
When I purchased my bnr68 the seller through in a brand new fp oil line and inline filter. Will this be PNP?

Commuting from Charleston to Columbia wouldn't be ideal as its about a 100 miles away.
Ah okay, it looked a lot closer on the map lol.
-
Don't discount Charleston-area. Lots of IT work here and MUSC is located here as are a ton of medical specialities and practices.
So columbia isn't to far of a commute correct? Heat isn't really an issue for me. Seems like a decent area (middle class?) as far as crime.
-
Don't know about jobs but Columbia is parked on top of hell. It is literally the hottest place in South Carolina.
Good to know. I have lived in CT my whole life (24 years old now) and trying to move further down south with my soon to be wife is not an easy task, especially when you don't know anything about the area.
I have seen the living cost is way lower in South Carolina compared to CT and the salary is a tad lower but the living cost seems to outweigh the salary (I work in IT and Fiance is graduating soon as a Physician Assistant). SC houses are about half the price as the houses in CT.
Should be a fun search
