Kred are those all the mods you had on your 2.5i or are there more? Did you have the throttle controller on just to save gas or would it be the same as just without one

On the left in that photo? That's your transmission.

I know that is my transmission, but that black box looked like a plastic cover that I could take off and my transmission would be fine uncovered

 

kred Id rather have some rumble than no rumble at all. Im glad my cars not the only one here that has a different exhaust setup. If I ask any questions I might as well ask you since youve always had the best responses. Ill try RS headers first and see if anyones had any success then Ill go for the H6 headers. Do they pretty much bolt right up with the mods youve done?

Can you guys answer my question? Do you have that black box that I have were my cat wraps around at the end? Maybe I can take the box off and my headers will fit?

Can you guys post pics of your header setups? I mean I have a box where the tranny is that my headers wrap around which is why its so long. Do you guys have any of that crap in the way? Im an outcast Now Im loosing hope that a Subaru will never be able to have uel headers

I cant even find pictures of stock lgt headers let alone find some for sale really so Im really finding any choice I can get. Modifying stock lgt headers would be an option for me right?

So what youre saying is its never been done before? I was sure at least someone here has done it with my setup. Will a 2.5RS catted midpipe work?

As I said before though the headers that I have in the box do not fit and arent going to. The headers that you have on your 2.5i right now look about the same style as the one I have in the box. Is it uncommon to have stock el headers the style I have them? It seems like I have less choices than you do since youre lucky yours could bolt right on as I thought all 05 models could

Those are the stock headers in your car? Mine look a lot longer than your first link. The stock headers the 2nd link looks more like mine cept with a different cat. Since these are what my headers look like will anything bolt right on uel?

What I want to know is are there alternatives to Rallisport headers for an 05 2.5i? Someone here has to know

I have a feeling that Dubz has that bastardized manifold - he needs to post a pic of the OE one on his car now to confirm.

 

Needs to look like this for the Borla (replica) to bolt up.

I cant find an oem lgt manifold anywhere. That was my third choice but there has to be someone here whos done something differently? And how long is the wait for Rallisports?

Since theres not really anywhere else to ask this question heres the story. I have an 05 2.5i and brought UEL headers from DNA Motoring that were made for a 96-05 WRX. I was told that WRX headers were compatible with 2.5RS's. And that 2.5RS's are compatible with 2.5i headers. I brought the headers to at least 6 muffler shops and they told me theres no way theyre going on even with modifications and they told me to buy things that were made for my car.

Theyd fit right on the engine but it wouldnt connect with the rest of the exhaust and the trannys in the way. I was also told that if I brought headers for 05 and 05 models only that the headers bolt right on with no problems.

My question is do I need to get UEL headers this style?:

I really would like to get headers that bolt right on like Rallisports but I dont have the patience to wait that long. Are there any alternatives such as buying uel's this style?

Spotted silver 05 2.5i on rt 8 this morning around 8:20 this morning. Couldnt tell who was driving it, I'd be surprised if you're on the forums. I was on the school bus and a kid on the bus dropped a golf ball out of the window and you swerved around it

Spotted '07 2.5i wagon in Earlville? Im not familar with VT only here for 3 days. Looked dark blue/dark grey. Had HIDs.

 

Spotted another 2.5i wagon in Richford. Pretty sure it was this guy:

I see now why they created this color because Subarus signiture color is blue. A legacy only had two blues and regal blue is too dark and atlantic blue just isnt rally but this looks more like a Subaru color
