Are you selling just the head unit or are you selling the head unit with jazzy aux mod?

Don't try to jump it. Take the battery out and put it on a Battery Charger on Trickle Charge aka slow charge mode.

 

Or buy a new battery (make sure it has a full charge on it.) have them test it before for charge status before you take it out the door many of the batteries that Auto Zone, O'Reilly have not a full charge because of transport/storage times.

Subaru Legacy gt 2006 - car has been sitting for a few months. I go to start the car but its dead. I try to jump the battery but its powering on the electronics but when I try to crank it, it won't crank - won't even give the sound. The security light flashes.

Things ive read that may be the culprit are:

-immobilizer

-some fuse

-clutch safety switch (which I actually have the clutch mod to delete this so I dont have to press the clutch when starting it)

Thoughts?

FYI: Car is in Seattle at a friends house and I am in MA and im trying to ship it back home but it won't start and car shipping place wants to charge more to put on a flatbed.

I get it if the car is bone stock... could just be a muggle and that's fine but when the car is clearly carrying a few tweaks and stickers - and then ignores another modified legacy?! - heck I even wave to the Wrx kids and get waves back, most of the time.

 

Something is not right when there are mods and no recognition - makes me think they should have bought themselves an evo if they didn't want to be social. Subaru is all about family! Lol

Rebuilt trans has be a bit worried. Was it rebuilt with stronger gears or oem?

And any mods on it?

I would say that its a pretty decent asking price. Id pay no more than 9k for it though

I'm trying to sell mine for 17 obo stage +4 per fourms stages I only have 68k on her. And 4k on the motor and 1500 on 07 wrx trans works way better with different transmission just saying.

Id pay like... 13-14k for that. But thats just me. As you go deeper in the mods, its harder to find the right buyer. Im not knocking you at all on the price. Me personally, i couldnt see spending $17k on an 8 year old car when for 10k more i could get a new wrx or brz.

But on the side note, tell me more about that wrx trans!! 08+ right?
