Resale value.. Hmmm this reminds me of a poor resale value that Audi has... Uuurgh...
At least the WRX's have an awesome resale value... 02's are still been sold for 15~18K depending on the miles...

Saw a red GT wagon Sunday the 24th turning onto 128-S in Peabody. You gave me the double beep and I waved as I passed by. Anyone?
IT WAS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Heheheheheheh
You had a black GT sedan, and I was in front of you - I turned into 128S and you continued for 128N....

Went to my local dealership for my first oil change today. Out of curiosity I asked the 2 gents behind the counter if they've gotten many complaints about the studdering problem. Before I could finish my sentence, the one guy rolls his eyes and walks out the door. The other dude gets real defensive and says, "Haven't seen that memo from SOA!" "Sure," I tell him, "I'm just curious to know if any customers have complained about it since I personally will be complaining about it at my next scheduled service if it hasn't fixed itself." Not a single one he says gruffly.
I explained that many dealers are being told by SOA to have the ECU reflashed on problematic vehicles, and thought they may want to be aware.
Boy do I hope this thing fixes itself.
Really shame on SOA, they should fix this, could we organize like a petition, with x number of signatures and send it over to SOA???????
Something to complain or to send a message, that we are NOT happy with this defect....
Really trust more COBB/ECUTEK then SOA, unfortunatelly...

We now have reprogramming available for 2005 Legacy Turbo toreduce the surging feeling during moderate acceleration and for code P2097.
PLEASE FIX THE GODDAMN PROBLEM SOA!!!!!
Geeezzzz...
I really trust COBB will do something to change this before SOA...

Agree with you Eles1, My ECU gets better after a reset (studdering wise) but gets rougher idle, and then I guess it re-learns and the idle gets better but worse the studdering...
I really wish COBB had something to say about this in their future maps...

Joe,
Has COBB made any announcements as far as recognizing this as an issue and that they would be working on it to get fixed?

I just got my car back from the dealer today. What you guys have been waiting for ... THE RESULTS OF THE FIX:
... it doesn't actually fix it completely. It does alleviate the problem somewhat, but give it about 1/2 throttle in 5th and you'll still feel those familiar pulsations from 2k to 3.5k or so, every time. The magnitude of those pulsations, however, seems to have decreased somewhat. Overall, the problem went from extremely annoying to very annoying. I'll let the ECU relearn for a while longer and report back.
An interesting side-effect is that the idle seems to have gotten rougher.
Not only does the problem still exist, but the monkeys there left water spots all over my freshly waxed car. Guess who gets to acid-treat and rewax ... AGAIN ...?
:mad:THAT REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

My suby dealer gives us old subarus. My last one had 168,800 miles on it. They really trust these cars.
Talking about reliability and trust!!!
Heheheehehe
168k miles for a loaner is awesome... heheheh Maybe it was just a lack of their loaner cars I am guessing... Usually they should give out almost new cars...
My 0.02...

I think the only reason why Japan uses the 2.0T Twin Scroll Turbo is because that's the same engine used for the WRC STi...
Isn't it so???

i had a great purchasing experience at natick.
the following service dept interaction was AWFUL. worst i've ever seen, and borderline fraudulant.
Cityside has been pretty good though. they just moved to a nice new location too.
dR
Really???????? What happened man???? Please tell me, cause I am right in between Cityside and Natick, and i was debating where to take my car to her first oil change... Still brand new though, so no worries, but down the road it's always good to know where to take her to...
Please please tell us what happened....

I have heard from them on NASIOC, not because I bought from them, have never used their service so I can't say for sure, just what I have read in the forums...
Just a quick note, we should do the same, rank the dealerships among us, like the Impreza club does...

from my experience, Boston isn't in much better shape. Hopefully my new relationship with Planet will be different.
dR
Weird cause I have heard awesome reviews from Natick Subaru (where I bought mine) and Planet Subaru in NH... ;-)
So we should be all set, I hope.. hehehehehe

Looks like Chicago area needs to have better SUBARU dealerships...
You definitely should address this up with SOA!!!!!!!
Ridiculous...

Come on!!!
This is ridiculous...
Subaru of America should do something in order to reprehend these guys from ROTO!!!!
Geeeezzzz...
We should write a letter or a petition to get some investigation and customer feedback in order to close those doors down... It's bad for the SUBARU name folks...
Flavio Zanetti

You should.
Of course you should mention the dealership name... Not for retaliation but to help other Subie owners closeby you to be aware of such a horrible dealership experience...
And also, you should write to SOA about this crappy service and treatment, I am sure they will loose their points or something is going to happen...
Good luck,

I am also next to you guys... Live closeby Trapello Road and Lexington St Lexington/Waltham border...
