  1. Is it still going to be a pain/not cost effective to put on?
  2. Please let us know what you think after you install.
  3. LOFL!!! Yeah, that's about right for me, you bastard!
  4. Thanks guys. I've read all the build threads, but I just need this all simplified for me. In order to do the intake the "right" way, I will need the intake, the funnel, and what hoses and clamps?
  5. Do you have to modify any of the OEM parts to install this intake?
  6. Great question. Also, can we flash back to stock like we can with Ecutek?
  7. Yep. We (I) need a definitive thread dedicated to the open source tune and another one explaining exactly what and how you did the intake, or at least a PM. Lol!
  8. Oops. May have misunderstood you. Did you mean the stock ROM that I pulled with the Ecutek cables?
  9. Absolutely. Is there a link or email for where to send it?
  10. Well, according to an email I just received from Visconti (thanks Perscitus!) us Ecutek guys can unlock our ECUs by simply using the Ecutek cables to flash back to stock. Then I can flash the open source tune if I decide to go that route. I'm very happy to hear this, but it goes completely against what I have read about Ecutek in other forums.
  11. Agreed! Figured this thread would be blowing up by now.
  12. Just realized that none of this matters to me, since I'm most likely going to need an EcuTek tuner to unlock my ECU and remove the tune before I can even consider this option. Talking about learning about tuning the hard way!
  13. Well, it sucks for me since I'm out $700 with nothing to show for it. But I thank God we got ROM support before anybody else gave Visconti any more money for a 3.6 tune.
  14. Gotcha, but I wouldn't be surprised if Visconti didn't make my car slower on purpose. Last thing I heard from him, after several revisions was, "Sorry I can't make your car faster, but it's probably because it's not a turbo."
  15. Cool. So your tuner used EcuTek cables to do the flash? Can you ask him if he could do an etune and if it would be worth it without getting my car on a dyno?
  16. Can I use my EcuTek cables to flash my car with this tune, or does it require the Tactrix cables? Also, do you guys think I'm just wasting my time by not getting the tune done by a pro on a dyno?
  17. I'm not good at reading graphs. How does this compare to the one I posted in the Visconti tuning thread?
  18. Can someone please tell me what all this ROM talk means to us and our cars?
  19. Are you guys going to try and wait on the intake before you meet up with Visconti for the tune?
  20. Haven't upgraded to the app radio yet, but even with the single-DIN Pioneer 9400, I can make a call or even send a text hands-free (via Siri) with no worries.
  21. Hey man, I haven't seen you hanging around the forum for a while, so I was just wondering how everything was going? I haven't done much to my car since the last time we spoke. I got the RCE springs but I haven't had them installed since I'm still waiting to decide on the Blisteins. Anyway, I think my time on this forum is coming to a close. Do you have an email or a Facebook handle you don't mind sharing with me? I'd love to keep in touch. Take care!
