Given their central location I would say guide pins for differential or rear subframe member.
I probably threw a nut on at some point 5~8 years ago.
Will be putting winter tires on real soon and will take a look then cause the ole man ain't crawling under any car in 20 Degree weather.

That retaining clip was the worst for me .... and it's so much easier to change the next time.
I jack her up and remove the tire just for that extra room to work since I don't contort like my younger days.

Humble that was next but the just force it days are long gone with this ole man body I'm trapped in. Thanks guys.

THANK YOU!
Yes rotate it 90 degrees then insert small screwdriver and press gently on tab and it pulls out easily.
Going to finally get the bar installed in the back after years of sitting on the shelf.

Got all the push pins out no problem but how is this thing mounted?
Trunk hook next to tail lights.

Sounds like LED bulbs that have reached the end of their life.
Try changing them out for some new bulbs.

Get a pair of NEW lenses then play with the bulbs. If you can replace them yourself there are many options. https://www.carparts.com/details/Subaru/Legacy/Replacement/2013-2014/SET-REPS100173.html?TID=bngpla&origin=%7Badtype%7D&gclid=12fc014081af1320881263dc05eeecdc&gclsrc=3p.ds&msclkid=12fc014081af1320881263dc05eeecdc&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=BST%20-%20PL1%20-%20Replacement%20-%20Headlight&utm_term=4577060751630741&utm_content=CPS%20-%20PL%20-%20Headlight%20-%20Margin%2035%20to%2040
I would also recommend covering the new lenses with a quality UV protective film. Did this with my '11 Legacy lights when new and they are still clear.

IAG built my son's Stage II motor which he was VERY happy with.
Hope you get the same results.

Sorta looks like there are 2 to me. https://parts.subaru.com/a/Subaru_2014_Legacy-25L-CVT-4WD-Sport-Sedan/_54102_6024347/EXHAUST-EXHAUST-FRONT-13MY-/B14-440-10.html man the prices are even IF you can get them.

Invested in these since the ole hands just aren't what they used to be

That first picture should be part of their marketing.
Perfectly composed.

Turn the key and physically lift on the lid.
No.
Then give it a couple of wacks while %#%^*& and the key is turned.
Isn't there bracing to prevent you from getting into the trunk once past the seats?

A couple feet of hose can get your ear closer to each pulley.
A shot of lubricant on the bearing with a rag catching excess.

Installed some SS3's (Amber fog) a few weeks ago then took 2500 mile vacation trip. Wow highly recommended.

Did the MCB bolt right up? Or was there any modification required?
Look at posts #211 & #216 for some reference info and pictures. Each manufacturers brace is slightly different requiring small modifications as best as I can remember.

Agree with Peril take it for a 30 Minute ride so you can really see how she feels. Some find the seat uncomfortable over time. Don't know what sorta mileage your expecting but I get 28~30 miles per gallon with care on the highway.
Love out '11 Legacy 3.6 which has been rock solid for 118K miles but at 13 years much of the usual stuff has needed replacing.
