  1. I was able to talk to the PO and he is saying this car the way it is with the vf46 needs more waste gate duty cycle... I dont want to waste your time and I appreciate all your help so far... sounds like I should in fact reflash to the map he made for it until next months tune... shitty thing is I wont be able to log or use the ap gauges unless I change platforms haha...It will make me want to start boycotting cobb like I have with apple
  2. I went through the AP and those were the ones that were of closest resemblance and yeah I added extra shit in a weak attempt to cover it all. Ill figure out how to do get the right ones logged with this AP and work on a finding a closed strip to reach upwards to 200km/h or more as that what it seems is required to get fourth to redline. I dont think the AP can measure throttle angle exactly as you describe but something different to get, perhaps, the same information. I pulled the following two blurbs that seem relevant after some searchingTARGET THROTTLE ANGLES (IDLE AIRFLOW TARGET) TABLE This table allows you to manipulate the resulting idle-based target throttle angle adder. This could be potentially useful for cars with aftermarket cams, for example. This current release adds the tables to the non-SD 2.5L ECUs. This was already available for SD 2.5L ECUs. (AP-SUB-002 & AP-SUB-003) The new "Target Throttle Angle..." tables are in units of actual throttle targets for idle (a value that is basically added to the non-idle target to determine a final target). Other idle related tables shown are based on a target idle airflow value - which is somewhat arbitrary, but based in grams/sec units. I just checked the AP and the following are the closest ones: Idle airflow idle speed target idle speed error target throttle, and throttle position, which you clearly stated is not it
  3. here is a new log with a bit of a pull in 3rd and 4th .. car does seem better now than before. 4th gear pull seems to take a long time as the RPMs rise a lot slower than I think I remember on the stock map. I hope these are the parameters we wanted.. the wording on the AP is a little different what do we make of the knock sum numbers and anything else to be concerned with? datalog27.csv
  4. wont be back with the car until tomorrow or wed but will take your advice and get a couple of new logs w/ all that.
  5. Here is the most recent log (I started logging this after a couple of hours of driving today) just regular daily driving so hopefully the car has done some learning. I think it does feel better. The A/F learning 1A has gone up to 8.1% though...not sure what that means. datalog16.csv
  6. Havent driven it since that 10 mile trip. Ill go for a longer drive today. How much time or how many miles approx until the ECU has learned sufficiently? Once the battery dies or gets disconnected this 'real time' learning map will get removed from the ECU, right?...if this happens and I flash the real time map back on there will it resume right where we left off?
  7. here it is, somethings up datalog12.csv
  8. 3rd and 4th gear pull there. I only loaded the AP and their map and took it for drives around the yard and then road test for less than 10 miles. the vf46 was put in before I bought the car along with the Up so I am not sure if they used correct pill yeah the FBKC and FLKC are bothering me as well. fuel pump seems to stay at 30 or 33% duty at idle, its not the best on gas. I average 11L/100kms with canadas petrocan 94 I really didnt notice much difference in the feel of the car with this OTS map either to be honest...maybe its wise to reflash to stock for the time being.. cheers
  9. close to stock (only has an STI up pipe and vf46 in there) 05 LGT 5EAT here and this is one of the first logs I have taken when I loaded the cobb OTS 91ACN map for the first time (never loaded any other map to it yet). Wondering if this is fine to be running for a month or two before getting tuned.. my only mods planned for tune time are going to be hexmods 5eat valve body which will be installed first (not even sure if this will impact anything tune wise or not) and then a week or two later the catted cnt downpipe, perrin TMIC and the cobb intake + air box will be done all at once w/ the tune....now that I have all of these parts here I am also tempted to just getting on with the installation right now and moving on to the next map here is a log, thanks for any feedback! datalog8.csv
  10. alright thanks, this helps a lot and I have a direction for my reading now Thanks!
  11. if I buy an AP just to log data am I limiting myself or will I be missing anything critical?? My plan is to get a pro tune after I put on some bolt on parts but I want to do my own logging and right now I feel an AP is the easiest way after a good amount of (but not all) reading as I dont plan or want to get heavily involved with tuning... Any insight here would be great!! I found a nice deal on a AP for 300 bones... Would it make more sense to invest in the other logging methods (cables, software, whatever else is needed) stuff? what is the typical cost on this other gear? I want to spend the least amount but log everything that is required to be safe and I want the easiest method to do so. I believe the pro tuner closest to me will do free touch ups for minor little things so I am planning on not making any little adjustments myself down the road(if the logs permit alterations) but anything major or new parts added will be another chunk of change of course.. Thanks for any input and feel free to suggest I post this somewhere else if I got it wrong... Thanks very much!!
  12. oh by the way no check engine light came on whatsoever for me but the day I took it in to the shop it came on for him with the cyl 3 misfire code...I have got CEL for intake manifold error once or twice many many months ago and just cleared the code and it never came back....it may have came back once (a second time) more several months later and we would have cleared it again and still hasnt returned to date.. Thanks!
  13. cyl 3 misfiring on 05 LGT with 130,000kms ...my tech swapped coil and the injector and it runs much nicer now...the spark plug was white...I am not sure how long this cylinder has been misfiring for as I hardly noticed it myself to be honest but I am not a mechanic and I expect engines and cars to rumble but it was clear as day to the tech...apparently the coil within the injector failed or died and the plates in the coil pack were seperating and was only working at times, so both were swapped with used parts that tech knows are good and should last.. So even though now my car is running great now, I am afraid that it may have caused damage elsewhere such as the valves or other....do I need to worry about any of this, run anymore tests or go look for more is it a waste of time and money? Thanks!
