  1. I did... AND THEY JUST ARRIVED! Had them shipped to my dads office and I'm away at school but I can't wait to go home and stare at them for a few hours. Lol
  2. Whispbars installed. It's got a nice OEM look.
  3. They look nice! I've always admired the outback flares. But man, gold wheels or gunmetal? I can't decide myself.
  4. Windows tinted Washed, clay, compound polish, Polish, sealed First tune flashed .....AMAZING!!! Whiteline Roll Centre Kit Prothane LCA bushings Derusted, painted, and underbody coated Installed Bayson R V-limited front lip Next on the list: Raptor Headers +some custom work Possible "FlexFuel" tune to run E85 Swaybars/endlinks Oooh and gotta do that DIY JDM Honecomb grille... Have all the parts... Just need to do it.
  5. This color looks amazing with the new wrx gunmetals. One of these days I know I'm going to end up trading in for a set of my own.
  6. I have a an 09' 2.5i and an 08' 3.0R Legacy. When I bought my 3.0R, I noticed that the power steering pump was quite a bit more audible than the 2.5i. My 3.0R has 80k miles on it, and I can't imagine the weight increase and quick-ratio rack would have caused the pump to pre-maturely fail and start to whine. I do notice that it is much firmer to steer in the 3.0R than the 2.5i but that can be explained by the weight and rack. I had then noticed a pinhole leak from the o-ring in the aluminum inlet connector on the top of the power steering pump. Replaced it... actually doubled it up and fixed my whine. The pump still makes quiet weird noises but no bubbles in the steering fluid tank and its quieter although still audible.
  7. Dang... Smelled some burning again. My passenger side driver CV boot cracked on me today. Just ordered another Beck Arnley boot kit off Amazon for $20. My passenger side is holding up great. I may or may not reuse the factory clamps.
  8. They're Perrin. It is plagued with the infamous driver side fitment issue but whatever. I love the sound.
  9. yes it is. and thanks man! I have a honeycomb grille that I plan to mock up a JDM one.
  10. Just got back from the dealership and part number 34431FG000 is the black plastic piece for the 2.5. I just ordered part number 34431AE030 which is the correct part: the aluminum inlet elbow for the 08-09 3.0R.
  11. When I called around to a few dealerships, most of them couldn't even figure out how to find that specific part number.... But thanks! I'll call Monday morning. There are two part numbers. Do you think the new one is the -FG000 part number as it excludes the older years in the description? I just don't want to end up with a plastic part as opposed to the stock aluminum. Also, I know there are some models that have a double o-ring inlet connector... does anyone think these pump inlets are hot-swappable between the different models?
  12. http://parts.annapolissubaru.com/a/Subaru_2008_Legacy30L-5AT-4WD30R-LIMITED-SEDAN/_54100_6027974/OIL-PUMP-PUMP/B13-348-03.html I need the part as quickly as possible. No dealership within 200 miles of my location has it in stock. I would need to order it either online or through the dealership. What would be the fastest and which would be the correct part number? Thanks!
  13. So I realized that the aluminum inlet hose connector is cracked at the bolt. I took this image from a different thread but this is exactly what happened on my 09' 3.0R. http://s499.photobucket.com/user/BluesBus00/media/photo-18_zpsbe1e5914.jpg.html Need to buy a new inlet connector but can't find the difference between these parts... Maybe i could use the 2.5i's double o-ring inlet? WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? SUBARU Part Numbers: 34431AE030 ---or--- 34431FG000
  14. Thanks M Pizle! The poop color is slowly growing on me. I actually followed this thread to clear and black out the lights. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/black-out-headlight-17817p26.html?highlight=legacyshawn The pic of the Quartz Silver Legacy on that page was of my old 2.5i. The DBM is my "new" 3.0R. I just swapped the stock headlights out of my 3.0R with the old blacked out ones in the 2.5i. When it warms up I'm going to do window tint and a front lip. Right now I'm contemplating doing RA mud flaps and Hella Supertones...
  15. You better believe there was some mountain side drifting involved... going down the steep snowy mountain? I popped her in 2nd and kept her slow.
  16. I just did Deer Killer's mod, excluding step 4, since I didn't want my fogs on with the high beams. Thanks to Deer Killer and John M's detailed post my 2008 3.0R is ready for some show and snow. The fogs now turn on with the parking lights and low beam and shut off appropriately when ignition is killed. The car should have came stock like this...really. Thanks guys for your work.
  17. Just did this with the beck arnley cv boot kit for the front right inner axle on my 08 3.0r. Reused the stock clamps since I couldn't find the proper clamp tensioner. Also I tried literally everything to get the ball joint out so I did like a few others and just removed the other side of the control arm and swung the entire assembly out. Pryed the axle out of the transmission and no leaks (5eat). The 3.0r has two headers, and I'm wondering about the driver side boot. It's looking a bit crispy but no tears. I've heard talk of applying grease or spraying silicone on rubber boots to make them last longer. You think that would work? Also going to wrap the headers to prevent the boots from drying out from exhaust heat.
