Get the 54427-2 (3.6R) H&R part number, not the -1. Purportedly they are marginally stiffer but we have never been able to confirm that. You'll likely end up with a little rake with the -1's.
I think that's a good decision. The H&R's are truly sublime from a handling standpoint with no ill effects on ride. Give me a measurement from center of hub to top of fender arch on your car and I will get the same measurements on my car tonight. You can start preparing yourself mentally for being 1/2" higher. Lol!
Most of the cheaper places that stocked the Koni inserts have been out for quite a while. I think you'll only find the fronts still in stock at places that have a little higher price. I would say to get the rears at Emnotek or TireRack for between $130 and $150 each. I think you just missed the bi-annual Koni sales by a month or two.
For the donors, just order some KYB Excel G's from Rock Auto. And you will need stock upper spring seats and tophats. I may have stock bump stops and dust covers sitting in the garage, I can let you know tonight.
Awesome!!! I measured front only as rear coilovers are toast ATM. 13.5" from center hub to top of fender. And yes, keep me posted on other goodies!

So now LGT or 3.6r H&R's. 3.6r's will be a bit stiffer but prob not a huge difference here

Ok so Teins are out. I want to do this right so H&R appears to be the good choice here. Looks like I'll need oem dust covers and spring seats too to complete the build. Found Konis $699 shipped so far. Please advise if found cheaper as I will too.
Thank you Joe for taking time to help

I'd have to have them shipped to work so the girlfriend wouldn't see. Might end up having a Tim Tuesday instead of a Whit Wednesday at some point
Just read through this entire thread and chuckled a little coming across this haha!!
Well, I'm diving in after BC's are blown out in the rear and I'm done with coils all together. I think this is a good compromise:
Koni 8610-1453s fronts
Koni 8010-1055s rears
White line KCA409 front mounts
Tein SKS92-AUB00 springs drop 1.8" f 1.6"r
Spring rate 218lbs/in. front 241lbs/in. rear
NEED DONORS!! Please PM me
Joe, do you have any donors laying around??
If I missed anything on the parts list, please advise.

Mine came today, $10 shipped to anyone who doesn't receive one

Very mean and clean, very well done for sure!!!!

So according to my math and guesstimating not including any modifications I have made, my car has only depreciated roughly 5k from when I purchased in 2011 haha!!
-
Wow, $300 is the cheapest I've ever seen. Reputable??!

I used a Mity Vac self bleeder which was super super easy. First time for me and only took 5 minutes. Pedal feels better than before I started. No reason to raise the car.

Okay last update for the turbo overboost issue :l....
So when they had it off the car and were looking to see if swapping housings was possible (which i learned after wouldn't be from lots of really good info on Jack's soap opera thread haha), they gave me a call and the guys said there's a crack in the housing which is causing the wastegate to not open essentially. I don't know how something like that can happen especially if BNR truly took it apart and made sure everything was in spec. So my theories: either it was cracked from Jack or maybe started there which could have been giving him his boost issues which was solved atleast for a little while with upgraded springs/porting, or BNR never really took it apart to make sure everything was good..or he noticed but decided not to do anything about it. Sooo I guess that's how my week is going, expensive ass paper weight :[
They got my stock turbo back on the car, finished up doing the last of the wiring for my headlights (halos/demon eyes and putting in a fog light switch since they were right there) and my tuner said that he was just going to try getting me into a tuning slot as soon as possible. Hopefully that takes care of my small little soap opera of problems for a while and the downpipe doesn't end up giving me any problems, will update again when its tuning time
Who's tuning??

Nice!! A three way 3rd gear pull on a closed course of course. Need a trailing car...

Day 2 after delete and all I can say is HECK YEAH!!! I can actually feel the clutches engagement point especially in 1st and 2nd. Not that I will ever race the car but I'm still trying to time up shifting better to stay in boost as I'm used to the old unpredictable, horribly designed piece of monkey shat damper. So in between shifts I feel as I'm not applying enough gas when releasing clutch after gear change and car bogs slightly. Just a new learning curve, no big deal. Another wonderful thing and not sure if it had anything to do with it, but before delete, while depressing clutch, I would hear a creeking noise like an old door closing but that has completely gone away. Maybe the damper was working against the clutch in some way causing this, I don't know? I am asking myself like all others, why o' why did I wait this long

Add another to the list!! First, when backing out of garage, zero clutch chatter and I felt one with the car. I thought to myself, maybe just got lucky. Next, 1st gear and wouldn't you know it, zero chatter or any sign of harsh engagement. My clutch is loving me right now and vice versa. Every time I make a change to the car, I fall in love again! Only went out for a 5 minute ride to test, but all this rant about the delete was dead nuts, it's fantastic!!!! Thanks Reeg

And welcome!!!

Get rear LCA's. They can be had cheap off eBay and still good quality. Had mine for 3 years no issues even up in New England! My rear camber with a moderate drop was way out of whack over -3.0 or something.
-
02 WRX aluminum brake and clutch pedal pads do fit our fifth gens and assume many other models are compatible too. Good cheap mod when your clutch pedal decides to fall apart.

Saw one the other day rolling down the Springfield, Ma streets ( worlds worst roads) thing was sickly loud even at idle.

Drove my dads 2016 S3, while a bit small, a thing of beauty!! Gotta love the dual clutch tranny and a simple stage 2 will net you 500hp on forged internals. So refined!!
