  1. Don't worry, I'm not leaving the Subie family. Time to get my eyes up out of the nighttime glare and a Forester XT will do that nicely.

If the deal goes through you'll love it. My garage has two (really!) :spin:'15 Forester XTs and they're nice to drive. CVT is OK, especially in heavy traffic. Mother-in-law, who lives close by, got hers first (with my strong encouragement) then wife liked it so much she bought one for herself.

  2. Magopra, I think you may be reading your replies from your email. Email updates all have the signature "All the best,

    Subaru Legacy Forums".

You're in the right forum, LegacyGT.com

You're posting in the "Official Steel Silver Metallic" thread.

You should post your beautiful car in the "Official Ice Silver Metallic" thread.

Think of it as Kingdom, phylum, order.

    LegacyGT. is the family.

    5th generation is the genus.

Ice Silver metallic is the species.

    Or something like that.

  3. Think we can get these at Home Depot or Lowes?

Your best bet would be to find a well-stocked Ace Hardware that handles stainless and metric bits. Some of those places have crazy wonderful selections of nuts and bolts but it depends on the owner. There's a place in the SD area called Marshall's Industrial Hardware in Miramar but I don't know how close it would be. They seem to have a ton of hardware.

  4. The only thing that was a mild concern was the steering wheel was gently... oscillating? shuddering? when the car was going down a straight path. It wasn't vibrating in my hand by any means (like as if the rotors were warped), but it would move left/right by itself if I let it go while coasting. .

That brings back memories of posts by others a year or so ago with similar issues. Not sure if all the "fixes" permanently resolved the issue. When mine was new (it's SSM so I'm in the right thread) the only thing I noticed was a vague wandering feel going down the road at high speed. Larger RSB took care of that.

  5. I just put on my 08+wrx sedan Perrin axlebacks on my 12 LGT today. The rear hangers do not fit correctly. The rear rubber mount is stretched just to reach the muffler mounted hanger. I am heading to the muffler shop tomorrow for them to massage/bend them to fit correctly. As is the drivers side muffler tip is tilted to the right of the bumper cutout.

No doubt it's a tight fit. Others on the forum have been able to line up the tip using the wiggle room built in to the flange and using different holes in the hanger. Your muffler shop will probably make it hang with a little more finesse.
