Looks good Geegeez! Will that set up with the saggy butt spacer provide similar results on essentially all legacies or is every car different to some degree?

 

Mine is a 5EAT sedan, so it's a bit heavier than a MT sedan. Similarly I think there would be differences with the 5EAT wagon and MT wagon. I used 3/8" but the vendor that I got them from (Mach V) makes them in 1/2" and 1/4" too I think. So it depends on which Legacy you have. I've seen pics on this forum of people with spacers and still had the saggy butt on the rear struts.

 

Also, the type of Pinks you use on the rear struts will be a factor. I opted for sedan/5EAT springs all around, but I know some use the wagon springs in the back just to avoid the saggy butt.

 

Just to note, I recall doing a search here and it said that if you use 3/8" spacers you did not have to use extended studs. I actually found that this was NOT the case and I did have to use extended ones. I don't know if this was just on my car or what, but the spacers were indeed 3/8" thick. Also, the stud holes didn't line up properly and I had to enlarge them somewhat to fit.

What kind of drop does that set up provide? *edit* I guess I could just look up the springs lol

i agree it does looks pretty nice. kind of like a m3 spoiler. can anyone identify?

 

It's definitely an M3 style spoiler. I have one and bought it from the same dealership as the guy above.

 

Although, I had second thoughts about it and have not installed it. I still prefer wingless/spoilerless after all.

which color would look best on my dark bronze metallic...i have been eyeing these wheels for quite some time...i really like them..if i cant get a set of these...i may go with OZ ultraleggras...or spec B wheels...keep in mind i do have a spoiler lip as well...and possibly the TRF diffuser...THANKS

 

I think go with silver, just to be safe. If you went gold-on-bronze think it would look weird. Either that or you powdercoat them.

Usdm fenders are fine for a jdm rev a-c bumper. I recommend jdm fender liners. Also, usdm headlights fit fine for rev a-c.

Just to add to this, my general understanding is that in order to get a JDM bumper to fit on your USDM bumper without heavy modification is that you need:

 

1. A USDM model more or less similar to the JDM version (e.g. same or slight variation in model year).

2. Compatible bumper beam and mounting hardware.

3. The JDM bumper itself.

 

Some other considerations:

 

4. Compatible JDM headlights (as necessary).

5. Compatible JDM grille (as necessary).

6. Compatible JDM fenders (as necessary).

7. Compatible JDM front-mounting license plate hardware (as necessary).

8. Compatible JDM fog lights (as necessary).

9. Compatible JDM fender liners (as necessary).

10. Compatible FMIC (if you run a FMIC).

 

My line of thinking is that you need the Front Bumper Equip Kit: http://japanparts.com/db/partslist.php?KEYWORD=&dealer=&car=&middlesmall=&maker=&VOLKEY=107-024-B plus whatever front bumper you want for a less complicated install. It's generally cost prohibitive to do #4 onwards I think.

 

Anything else to consider?

Can't afford a new bumper right now due to my suspension setup/project that I want to do. Curious though, can you PM me a pic of what it looks like in comparison to the USDM bumper beam?

^ Sweet-looking bumper. What other considerations do you need to take into account when you change the bumper to JDM (USDM 05 LGT here)? Do you need to swap out anything else?

Those look good. Be prepared to roll the rears if you lower it though. I had to with the 18x8 +45 wheels with 225/40/18 tires (mine were yokohama s.drives though).

Thanks for these instructions! It took me longer to find a flashlight than it did to perform the job. I attached a pic of the green sticker. It's kinda hard to see but you can barely make out "DRL ASSY" - Daytime Running Light Assembly. It's really tucked up high so it's hard to see.

I'm thinking that there will be rub given that the offsets don't seem to lie in the "safety zone" in terms of the scrub radius from the FAQ.

Anyone got XXR 527's on an '05 LGT at stock ride height? Do they fit without rolling (either offset)?
