  1. ^They probably already have huge turbos, I assume most are diesel. My chevy pickup came from the factory with a GT35 on it! Exhaust intake and chip was about +150whp/+300ft/lbs Accessport for UPS trucks=profit?
  2. I don't get my hands greasy...there's people for that! lol just playing. I do some of the little stuff on my cars, but I let the professionals take care of the dirty work. It also doesn't hurt that I live just a few moments from friends and sponsors - Andrewtech and TurboXS I'll keep you all posted about the rears, I've got my fingers crossed.
  3. recieved the KNS brackets, 06 calipers and new DBA 4000 series rotors for the rear on Monday. I have an appointment next monday the 14th to have my blown coilover sent out to KW for a rebuild and will likely have the guys at the shop do a mock up to check fitment then. They won't be going on the car for good until my front brakes arrive (supposedly by Jan 20ish), gives me time to get the calipers recoated to match the stoptechs going on in the front. Should be able to have everything on there by end of the month for some photos. (Hopefully with the new wheels as well:) ) stay tuned...
  4. Not much cheaper overall if at all, but the availability of used 08+ rear calipers sucks. They are going for between 500-650 for the rear calipers when they do show up and then are gone instantly You can get the 04-07 rears cheap at ~250-350, they look like crap, but I was going to powdercoat to match the fronts anyway. So total cost ends up being comparable. KNS said they would take the bracket back if it didn't work. so I'm gonna go for it, I'll report my results.
  5. Yeah I was under that impression too, that's why I was so surprised to see that they claim it would work.
  6. http://www.knsbrakes.com/carItemDetails.php?car_id=2385&item_id=37648 What say yee on this 04-07 rear Brembo adapter (apparently which will fit 5th gens.) The 04-07 Calipers are much cheaper and more abundant to buy used so if we can get them to work the rear swap would be even more simiplified. Anyone seen or have info on this? THanks (sorry if repost, I tried to search this.)
  7. ^so rotas? like I said, replica CH-R They do look very nice on that car though
  8. looks like a replica BBS CH-R. http://www.supremepowerparts.com/prod_images/large/CH104-BPO.jpg
  9. good stuff, looking forward to seeing the 20g results. I wanted to go that route as well.
  10. @scooby, looks great! now you just need those brakes;) Do you have pics of the stainless charge pipe? Is this custom or can I buy it somewhere? I had been playing with the idea of having one made. Also interested in the tune, I made 260whp/315wtq with similar power mods - you got some crazy torque numbers!
  11. i think i want those '13 headlights... looks very clean MRlancaster
  12. thanks for clearing that up guys. I think I'm going to skip the rears for now and eventually get the rear stoptech to match the fronts used 08 calipers are hard to find!
  13. do you guys think that 04 STi REAR brembos would fit if you could get the 08 STi bracketry?
  14. ^I ordered them through Andrewtech, put them on the car around 1000 miles or so. I only have about 10700 on the clock now... I'm sure they will take care of it...in the meantime I'm still driving it, but the rear is getting worse and worse haha
  15. ^will do. I admit I haven't been staying on it like I should be since I've been so wrapped up trying to get my WRX finished. Now that it's done I'm on a mission to get this sorted.
  16. ^we're not sure still. Been awaiting reponse from KW for about a month now while they determine how the are going to proceed. From what I've gleaned though, they are likely going to want the blown one back and wont be shipping out a replacement, rather i wait with no coil while they take thier time to fix it. The car was never very low, certainly not even close to maxed out on the threads. And i drove them just about 10,000 miles, so I would be very surprised if this wasn't just a bad seal on that one, the others are holding up fine.
  17. ^they're 18x9 +38 Work Emotion XD9's. Ordered them through Sam@ Andrewtech Automotive.
  18. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5129/pic2wj.jpg Could be lower, but no rubbing is nice. downside... blew my left rear KW after less than 10 months of daily driving. They should be replacable under thier warranty but will have to call them monday to beign the process. Also, my whiteline rear endlink snapped on the right side after about 500 miles. They are replacing that as well under warranty but I've been driving around with it broken for a while http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/7897/blownkw.jpg
  19. ^haha i'm in Maryland, right outside of DC. I could go lower, but I enjoy the usability of this ride height - zero rubbing at all
  20. one more since i'm in a post whoring mood http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/1729/lgtgarage.jpg
  21. got my catless downpipe on yesterday, sounds way meaner:) Full dyno to come soon (tuner is out of town). 22. ^thanks! quick iphone shot on the way back to the car Yep it's on KW v3 coilovers.
