  1. Silver LGT on Hwy 50 before 7am, you got off at Zinfindel.
  2. You do know that both Tom Hanks and Jim Hanks (Forrest Gump running double) grew up in Sacramento and they still have family in this area.
  3. Okay so the two of you were at Centerfolds and Mr. C was concerned about a dirty car parked outside.
  4. Red Lego GT Wago with cargo box on roof east bound Hwy 50 around Howe at 5pm yesterday.
  5. RBP LGT Wagon with 2 bikes on the roof going east bound Hwy 50 just past Bradshaw around 5ish.
  6. APB LGT Sedan w/black wheels on westbound Hwy 50 heading towards I-5 North at 5pm yesterday.
  7. Silver Lego GT wagon spotted 6:30 AM east bound I-80 just past Davis, got off at West Capitol. Wasn't able to catch up due to the traffic.
  8. Though not a GT sighting, saw a white 2.5i sedan at the intersection of White Rock and Bidwell. Guy was having a talk with the speed tax collector.
  9. I was on my way home. Being tired from a long day at work dealing with stupid BS stuff tends to wear on you at the end of the day.
  10. Had a ABP LGT sedan chased me down today to wave at me on Hwy 50 around the 99/I-5 interchage around 5pm.
  11. Damn, spotted 2 LGT sedans today. One at the shooting range and a white one on HWY 16 this morning with snowboards on the roof rack.
  12. If you really want to see a LGT, I come flying by Roseville on I-80 twice a day.
  13. I haven't seen the Mont Blanc attached so can't comment there or the Thule. The Yakima EZ-Rider clamps to the factory roof rails on the wagon, only on the sedans do the Q-towers clamp to the car's sheetmetal. With any roof racks, make sure you follow the directions carefully. Not following the directions to the letter can cause damage to your car. I know most cars will give a rating for the load the roof can take, I don't recall offhand with the Scooby. If you exceed those loads, bad things can happen. A properly mounted roof rack can take quite a bit of stress including exceeding the factory recommended loads. My Yakima rack with Q-towers on my old Camry had 3 bikes on the roof doing over 100 mph. I've also been on my roof rack with the car moving also. If you do stupid things like driving your car into the garage with bikes on top, you will appreciate round cross bars over square ones. You will still end up with a destroyed bike and a bent bike tray, but the round cross bars allow the tray to rotate which lessen the damage to your car.
  14. You could just swap out the bolts on the Yakima rack. Depending on how far you want to go, you can easily replace them with tamper resistant bolts or even tamper proof bolts. I've been using Yakima racks for over 10 years even when I used to work at a store that sold Thule. I just never like the rectangular cross bars. With the LGT wagon, I really didn't like the integrated cross bar and towers of the Thule. With my Yakima, I did need new towers, but I can reuse my existing cross bars.
  15. It's 1 hr 15 minutes each way because it's the reverse commute. Most people commute from Grass Valley to Sacramento which takes about 2 hours due to stop and go traffic from Roseville all the way into Sacramento. Rent in Nevada City/Grass Valley is way more expensive than my current rent + gas. Placer County has the highest pricing increases in the area at over 30% per year.
  16. I graduated in 99 with one of the most useless degrees, I'm now qualified to BS psychology. Went and got a second degree over at Sac State in mechanical engineering. Much more useful and pays a lot better than psychology. Due to my really cheap rent, I still live in Davis, despite driving to Nevada City everyday to work. O chem was a nightmare for me. I took 118A with Nantz. He failed 1/3 of the class and I was among one of them. Took that class again and the rest of the series with other professors and did a lot better.
  17. I thought I was the only LGT in Davis, at least a LGT wagon. Mine's ABP. I see you are a bio sci major just like most people in Davis until they get to O Chem (Chem 118 series).
