  1. @DoctorDaveLGTgood to know and happy to be in the club. I'm not sure I'd daily it but can't wait to put it on.
  2. Ha- way in the back- good eye indeed. The original OG's of snail power for sure. If I was Bill Gate's I'd love an '87 GN in the garage too. it's yours whenever your molds come calling. Thanks!
  3. The budget for the 402 wasn’t much(from Subaru) and the exterior styling distinctions were few. That CF lip was definitely on my list after I found the crack on the first one.. the pics below is the one I’m keeping. ( so I have two-heh. Don’t tell the wife) id be happy to lend/sell it (the cracked one) to an individual with a large 3D printer or molding gear. Spread the wealth-so few lips for our cars.
  4. Any luck sorting this out? Doing a similar swap to the front arms w/whiteline bushings. ( I do recall when I upgraded some new swaybars with kartboy end links the bars squeaked for a few weeks until I greased the sound away.) Thanks!
  5. @seanyb505 thanks much.( I had AVO brackets on a different car-worked great. I'll definitely add them back)
  6. “ They've also produced their own unique suspension links which replace the standard soft rubber bushings with rock-hard spherical bearings. The spherical bearings ( or pillow balls, or rose joints ) do increase ride harshness and road noise, however it's clear that STI dent believe the average S402 owner is going to care.." https://www.drive.com.au/news/forbidden-fruit-the-jdm-only-subaru-legacy-sti-s402/ No brackets for now- any experience with them?
  7. S402 rear subframe came aboard with no issues(not surprising). I did have to get new DBA rotors but the pads were decent.
  8. The lip arrived with a pretty good crack in it. Im no CF repair specialist. Anyone have a similar break that you fixed? Good repair shop in the NE area?
  9. 09 DGM getting an S402 overhaul. Thanks for the thread-(picked up the specB last year-I’m the seventh and final owner:)
  10. Miss the shine of the black.( '08 5eat I recently sold-grey specB is the 'new' car. wish I could have kept them both..)
  11. I couldn't help myself. Hopefully it'll see the sun this year.
  12. So far so good taking everything off the undercarriage. There’s an apparent leak in the stock steering rack so in goes a STI 15+ rack( wasn’t planning on doing it now but it was in the general plan since the S402 used a similar ratio). Previous owners added some whiteline rod ends, look nice but I’ll probably stick with the new ones. Thanks to online videos about this installation, I’ll have to cut the ends 3-4 threads worth to fit in the Legacy. ( you can see the slight length difference below)
  13. Hello- I started building an S402 clone with a 2009 specB as the base car and figured I'd share the ride. A little history: I joined LegacyGT back in 2010 when I purchased my first LGT. It was a black '08 5eat and it served my family well for years. Thanks to this forum, I of course started to fiddle around with the car and ran it on a stage 2 tune/supporting until I sold it last year with just over 100k miles. The family runs around town in other vehicles these days and our LGT became more of a (my)project car. (I had the full intention of doing a 6-speed swap on the '08 5EAT and making it into one of my dream cars. Early last year though, I found an '09 specB in good condition- so I sold the '08) If you own one of these cars you've probably heard of the Legacy STI S402 made exclusively for Japan( obviously everyone on this forum knows about it-just covering all the bases for any new members into the community). The S402 was the only Legacy to roll down STI's factory line- receiving all sorts of upgrades to create a limited run of 402 wagons and sedans. I always wanted to own one, and so I started to plot my demise and began to buy up S402 parts as they became available thru various auction houses, overseas friends and even eBay. As you probably know, the "Imported Safety Alliance Act" doesn't let the US import a Japanese car until it's 25 years old. Lucky me not all S402's are driven lightly and some end up in pieces which started to accumulate in my garage. The progress I can share has taken years to come together. I'm not necessarily doing a 1-1 clone. I pretending I bought an S402, then lightly 'modded' it to achieve its full potential. The S402's VF-51 twin scroll turbo feels like it's got a lot to give when given the right supporting characters around it (the s402's engine is an EJ255 just like our USDM ones). The grey car in the pic below is the specB as it came when I bought it. Hopefully it'll be a cover girl in the not too distant future..we'll see.
  14. Shiny blue n/a(no hood scoop) 08'-09' sedan with tinted windows heading into downtown Cleveland Sunday, Dec.27th mid morning. No spoiler and yellow fogs. Love the blue in the sea of silver/grey/black cars on the roads these days...( mine included...)
  15. Black '07/no badging/tinted windows/GT. Around 5:30pm on 90/94 West. I pulled up next to you as I was taking the Division St exit( right before North ave exit). Nice car. Follow the ChicagoFrapper thread?
  16. Silver spec B (just the Spec b badge)/rims/rear lip- off Division and North Noble(across from the Polish Church) between the BP and Shell early-around 7am. I've seen your car a few times before- looks nice who-ever you are-
  17. Silver/Gray? LGT pulling out of the Shell station on Division between Ashland and 94 Monday morning around 7am. You had what looked like a RREV grill with no suby emblem and different wheels in the front and back.
  18. Anyone from Cincinnati on here? Your light blue/ yellow fogs/ loud BOV LGT went by the downtown Westin around 9pm on Tuesday night. I think the A8 in-front of you was wondering what was going 'whoosh-psssst' behind him as he/you goosed it for the yellow light-
  19. I should check the forum more often- I missed yet again the chance hang out with other Subarus and Owls...
  20. " Subaruing...because football, basketball and baseball take only one ball?" I don't think that would fit on my windshield...
