  1. I did actually, did you?

There were no real conclusive answers to it, sure the compressor outlet is different but thats a problem we deal with even for the Process West one, but its not a major. There didn't seem to be any testing or measuring of whether it would foul on the master cylinder or just miss it

That wasn't meant to be a smartass "SEARCH THE THREAD" answer... I just remembered seeing someone trying it out (And yes... since you asked, I've been part of this thread since the start and read every post at some point a few months ago when it started... which is why I was trying to be helpful to let you know that it might be in here if you hadn't already looked.), and didn't have time to find it for you. Sorry if you misinterpreted my tone.

My suggestion would be if you can find the person who did try it that you PM them to get more info.

  2. Progress!

    The plan:

Get the Silver Eagle fired up Thursday. Take it to Portland Int'l Raceway Friday AM and start the break in process at the Test & Tune session.

1st Session, Waste-gate boost only. No full WOT.

    Change Oil + Filter

Send datalogs to Cobb Surgeline. They will review for problems.

2nd session, if all clear on the data go back out with small boost and varied throttle.

Send datalogs to Cobb Surgeline. They will review logs.

3rd+ Rinse and Repeat until end of day at full race boost and wot.

    Change oil.

    Race Saturday and Sunday!

Big Thanks to Cobb Surgeline for stepping up to make this possible! And many more thanks to Subaru of Bend!!

Looks like you swapped to top feeds... just curious - did you use top feed TGV deletes, or go with a conversion kit like ID sells?

I helped a friend do the TGV swap to go top feed, and that came out really clean, but the ID conversion seems a lot easier.

  3. Any tune results yet?

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I wasn't dyno tuned, I was etuned, and the IC is definitely more efficient. I am on the stock turbo. It's doing really well and my power down low is awesome, but my turbo and wastegate met it's match with the IC. My tuner was only able to push the boost to 17.5 psi because of the decrease in pressure and larger volume of the IC. That said, this could change slightly based on your wastegate since our arm isn't adjustable, and depending on your temperature. It's been pretty cold here in PA during my tune.

  4. All but done with my tune from Dave... just have to send over some logs for him to check up on things after a little mileage has passed. My experience has been very positive, and I'm very hopeful to stick with Dave for tuning my wagon as I tack on more parts. Currently at a "stage 2" setup with a catted downpipe, catless uppipe, and Grimmspeed TMIC. Dave did a great job very safely and carefully tuning the car. It feels much stronger over the Cobb OTS stage 2 map that I was previously running, especially in the low-mid range. I've also noticed a bump in my gas mileage, especially just as boost is kicking in where I could tell I the OTS map was rich.

Now I just need to get a turbo that can keep up with the efficiency and size of this TMIC and get some more power under the hood.

    Thanks, Dave!

  5. The pitch stop is the same, but all that confirms is that the distance between the two mounting points is the same. There is still a difference in the position of the motor/trans relative to the firewall.

I thought someone mentioned that it would change the angle of the tilt... I was just thinking that if the pitch stop is the same, that means it keeps the same position relative to the engine. As for what that means in terms of what will get in the way on the firewall, I have no idea, as I don't have an OBXT. Just trying to help with what I thought of.

  6. Who said that? GS clearly appears to be supporting the LGT platform.

That install video and the rear mounting setup is the first thing that has made be me really start to think that the TMIC may not fit on an OBXT. If the whole core gets pushed lower in the engine bay compared to the firewall it looks like it's simply going to starting making contact with parts that simply can't be moved.

I was thinking this as I was watching, but isn't the pitch stop the same on both cars? So perhaps the pitch stop mount is located in a lower place on the OBXT?
