I just had an oil consumption test done two weeks ago. I brought it back in after 1,400 miles and they said that the engine is burning an "acceptable" amount of oil. Here I am going on 3,800 miles since they changed my oil and I'm down two quarts. Sorry, but that's not "acceptable" to me. SoA is involved as of today.

I wish I saw those "b stock" ones before I dropped $160 on the regular lights

C'mon Mark, you couldn't have posted that a week ago? I like my Morimoto's but I think I like the ones you got better
-
Yeah, that's in the works as we speak. I'd be pretty pissed if I broke one of these lenses.
On a side note, I'm still running HIDs in my low beams. Unfortunately, they're 6000k and are a little off from the fogs. No worries though, the mailman will be delivering a new pair of 5000k Morimotos this afternoon. I'm hoping they're a better match. I'm still debating on the H7 LED bulbs that Perscitus turned me on to

Installed these a couple days ago. I'm extremely happy with the light output. I'm leaving them naked without the lamin x for now. I may throw some on one day just to see how it looks.

the 6th gen reminds me of a camry with AWD.
A coworker bought one and the entire first week he had it, I thought it was an Accord and really didn't give it a second look.

Inlaws have been in the whole week (from Ohio), so my wife takes off from work Monday - Wednesday. Because of not working, she takes the "getting up with baby" job those nights. Being a great guy, I told her that I would take Thursday and Friday. Well for those three nights that were on my wife's shift, the kid (5month old) got up at least twice....Wednesday was an every 2 hour hit. BUT for me? Both nights - slept straight through. I'm living right I tell ya! hahahaha Haven't told wife about the Chloroform trick..... JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!! lol.
At least yours are just visiting, my in-laws live with me......just temporarily though. Its been almost a month and honestly, I couldn't have asked for better in-laws/roommates. I work second shift so I never see them
They're closing on their new house next week so they'll be moving out, THEN, we finally close on our current house in Nov and move in with them until Jan when we move into our new house. Yeah, my life sucks right now

New Jersey is terrible, I hate it. Anytime I enter it I literally start getting angry...There's always traffic and all that I can think about is jersey shore and people dressed and acting like d bags.
BTW sorry if you are from NJ (I can only image what it's like to live there )
Tell us how you really feel.
People only see Jersey on the sad excuse of a show "Jersey Shore", which is a complete embarrassment, and driving down the Turnpike through Newark and Elizabeth, where its smokestacks and landfills. Honestly, if you were to visit my part of Jersey, you would have a totally different opinion. Yes, Jersey sucks, but its been my home for 35 years and I love the town I live in. Just watch out for the bears.

you figured it out!
Can you please explain the pic you posted. I'm very curious

My partner at work left his ebay account logged in on the computer. His phone was probably blowing up all night letting him know that all of the various men's thongs he was watching are ending soon. I think that I clicked "watch item" for close to 100 different (ridiculous looking and extremely disturbing) men's thongs

Had to put a fawn out of its misery with a fellow motorist on my way home from work tonight. A car in front of me hit it and broke all of its legs. I stopped along with the guy behind me and put my hunting knife to use. Rest in peace little fawn.

Subaru Oil Consumption Lawsuit - Letter from Subaru & Short Block Replacement Advice
in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
Posted
I burned almost a quart after the 1,400 mile consumption test and burned just under 2 quarts as of this morning (just shy of 3,900 miles). When the dealership measured my oil consumption after the 1,400 miles, they only used the dipstick as a measuring tool, and the issue I had with that was that they checked the oil hot since I had just driven an hour straight to the dealer and they never let it cool off. I added oil this morning and I put in almost 2 quarts.
Last oil change interval, I burned just over two quarts in 5,000 miles. I change my oil religiously every 5,000 miles and that was the first time I've ever noticed any significant loss of oil.
I don't believe my VIN falls into the range of the lawsuit since I have only seen '13 Legacy's listed and mine is a '14.
capttris, any insight you have will be greatly appreciated!
