2013 Legacy base model. Right now I only have 1 key and so I want to get another. I have read instructions on how to program a new key fob, but how about an actual key? Is that an option? I don't have $300 to pay the dealer right now. Was hoping to buy a key online, have a locksmith cut it, and program it myself like I've been able to do with other cars. Any ideas? Thanks! 07 Legacy Limited 2.5i, non-turbo. I have a new ignition coil sitting on my table. I plan to do the coil and plugs tomorrow to try and resolve a miss-fire. How can I test this coil to make sure it's good before it goes in? I don't want to install it and then find out it's no good. I'm thinking I test the resistance with my multimeter? Just not sure which numbers I'm looking for. Right now I get 10.72 Ohms when checking across the leads. Thanks!

I have an 07 legacy limited with 140K miles on it. Lately it's been running weird when it gets wet; a stutter on acceleration, which cleared up once it warmed up. Yesterday in the rain it finally threw the transmission temp light and error codes relating to the transmission. I'm wondering if there's just a connector somewhere getting wet? Any ideas on whether that might be the issue, and if so on the location? Error codes are: P0700 P0770 P0731 Thanks! Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

Second issue of the day. Changing out the rear hub assemblies. Got the 32mm axle nut off, removed the ABS sensor and the 4 bolts holding the hub assembly on, but no matter how hard I pull in the assembly, the axle just comes out with it. It's stuck in there. Can I hammer the axle back in by the post where the nut goes it what? In this video at 6:11 he says to make sure the axle pushes in. What did that mean? My axle doesnt budge from the bearing. Legacy keeps going through O2 sensors.

He didn't mention a short. My thing is that since replacing the sensor fixes the issue for a year or two, wouldn't that mean it's the sensor itself? I replaced the sensor and the issue is gone again, for now. The old sensor came out with soft powdery black carbon on it, after 2 years and about 20K miles. That's more or less normal right? One thing I forgot about is that I did have an exhaust leak which I had repaired about 6 months ago, and I know exhaust issues can ruin sensors. I wonder if that was a factor. -

I had to have the head gaskets replaced around 80K miles. -

'07 Legacy Limited 2.5i, non-turbo, 140K miles. Since 2011, I have replaced an O2 sensor 5 times. Each time, it's due to CEL and error code P0131. These sensors are supposed to last 100K miles. I drive about 10-12K miles per year. Replacing the sensor does resolve the problem for a year or two (lately more like just a year), but it seems like maybe there's another issue somewhere. Any ideas? The car is properly maintained otherwise, no other CELs, no known oil/exhaust leaks. The sensors aren't coming out filthy or anything. My mechanic told me to just replace the sensor.

With all the cell phones doing away with the aux port, I'd like to add Bluetooth to my 07 Legacy Limited. I know there are aftermarket Bluetooth receivers but they need to be charged and turned off/on with the car. I just want something native. Is there a part number for my car's radio but with Bluetooth?

I have an '07 Legacy Limited. On the rear driver's side, the cable which connects the exterior door handle to the latch has stretched out (the handle itself broke in the past and in replacing it I stretched the cable), and no longer works reliably. So my questions are: 1. Am I able to just replace this cable? I don't see a way to disassemble the latch assembly to replace it on that end. 2. If I can't replace just the cable, do I buy a whole new assembly? It looks like the cable for interior lock is also not removable, so I would need the handle attached as well, unless I'm missing something there, and I don't see anyone selling an assembly with the interior handle attached. 3. Does anybody have a part number for the cable/assembly/whatever I need to buy to fix this? Thanks!

Door handle repair - need a hand!

Where would the rod be? Not seeing one. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk -
I had an issue on my 07 legacy where the plastic piece that actuates the door from the outside broke. It's the same exact problem as in this video, and I followed the video to tear it down and repair it. However, now that I've put the cable back onto the door handle assembly, it just won't budge. It was also extremely difficult to pull the little metal piece back into the green plastic clip while keeping the white plastic part inside it's metal bracket, so that's where the problem is. So my question is how are these cables supposed to go? Also, now that I've closed the door, how can I open it again? Video I used: Photos of current assembly are attached. Any thoughts? Thanks! 07 Legacy Limited. I need a new cat back exhaust. I don't care about sound or performance improvement, I just need to replace my rusted out system with something that will work and last for a while. Options seem to all over the map from $220 to $900. Any recommendations on something inexpensive but not total garbage? Thanks!
