Not sure what page you were on exactly and it has been about a month but click on the link "vendors" at the top or go to the vendor market place in the forums. As a 2.5i daily driver, I'm debating between the Eibach pro springs and RCE Blacks. Both seem like good springs and are very similar but the Eibach springs has a softer ride and a "progressive" design. I know I can't go wrong with either but can anyone explain the performance advantages with the Eibach progressive design? Just looking for a good reason to pick one over the other. I need an extra edge when going for a drive with my buddy's BRZ and Porsche 981 Boxter as the competition -

At first, I thought those would be 19'' wheels. The car sits very well on those. -

Those look good! They seem to fill in the wheel wells nicely. -

Seems like the tires are 225/40/18 for some reason. Should be at least 45 sidewall... Maybe it's the sun shinning into those wheel wells? It makes me want to go with a darker wheel color since they make the wheels look taller to me. -

Does anyone have some pictures of the TSW Interlagos wheels installed on a 5th gen? -
5th Gen - Tricks and tweaks
hellaGT replied to ehsnils's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
I tested out what I previously said was happening and it's confirmed. The off chance that I have the clutch backed out an inch or so when buckling up will prevent the brake from releasing. I'll have my seatbelt on, let clutch out, and giving it some throttle; the parking brake stays on. It won't release until I push in the clutch pedal all the way then let it back out. Now that I know what was going on and that there are two clutch switches I'll most likely not have this problem since ill just be aware of the switch points. The switches could be set correctly or maybe not. Next time I get an oil change I'll mention it and demonstrate the issue to the dealer. -

It's kind of an illusion how the bugeye looks as if it's lifted when sitting next to the rest. -
5th Gen - Tricks and tweaks
hellaGT replied to ehsnils's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
Thanks guys. I'm almost certain every time has some throttle in it though. It's just weird that I have the belt on and letting the clutch out with some throttle when it still wont release... I just need it to sense the clutch and throttle and off I go. Here's the thing... it seems like the clutch sensor is triggered with the pedal slammed to the floor, I need to do this in order for the engine to start as well. When getting in the car, I push the clutch in to start it, put my seat belt on, and start letting the clutch out while giving it some gas pedal respectively when I notice the brake not releasing. I'll slam the clutch pedal back to the floor and try again, then it works. I think the problem is in the "clutch sensing" part. What's probably happening is the clutch pedal slips back passed the sensor after starting the car and before clicking the seat belt in. If the belt is on and I push the clutch in the brake releases fine when letting it back out. The clutch is in but just not far enough when the seat belt is sensed. This really isn't a big deal and I can re-arrange my car starting habits or find a way to auto release the brake without the seatbelt sensor. I'm going to test what I said above later but I think that's what's going on. Maybe you have to push the clutch in and out 20 times in 30 seconds while clicking in and out the seat belt or some weird sequence like the seatbelt chime elimination... -

yeah, one would think... Usually when this happens I'll even have the belt on and it still will not disengage since I didn't press the clutch to the floor in time before releasing it... realizing this after the car threatens to stall = annoying. Robbing me of like 3 seconds! -

Has anyone figured out how to disable the seat belt switch to engage the automatic e-brake release? So all you need to do is drop the clutch in gear and it releases. Too many times I haven't secured my seatbelt completely and lug the car when letting the clutch out since the ebrake stays on. It's almost as annoying as the seatbelt chime... -

This is a detail request post, I like how you modded your legacy. What kind of wheels are these and what size tire? What type of front lip and exhaust did you install? Looks great. -

Thanks, I wouldn't mind a bit louder. Just not as loud as most of the aftermarket exhaust set ups so this sounds like what I'm looking for anyway. -

Yeah I can only find OEM exhaust in the forest, to bad aftermarket exhaust doesn't grow on trees... lol That's the pic from the craigslist ad. It includes the two OEM axle-back mufflers as well. -

Back to the 08+ WRX exhaust fitment on the 5th gen legacy real quick. I have a 2.5i and one of the many who like the dual exhaust look and someone on Craigslist is selling their OEM 08-10 WRX catback for cheap and wanted to clarify what fits. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k67/tingram217/3L53pe3Hd5N45F45Mbcape4a20da2a96c1b44.jpg I know that muffler hangers will need to be welded to the passenger side and that the legacy is a longer car than the WRX but can I use the entire cat-back? I suppose you could salvage the Y-pipe to fit my mid-pipe and bolt the wrx axle-back to it. There doesn't seem to be a flange connecting the wrx mid-pipe to the wrx Y-pipe for an easy swap onto mine. What do you think? If anyone has a thread for this exact swap let me know since I couldn't find one. -

Thanks! I had a 99 Legacy GT before, then a 02 WRX, now back to the Leggy haha. It's a good car, although I miss a good turbo spool in the morning, this still surprisingly zippy with the 6-speed. Let's keep posting more pictures! -

Just brought her home last week. 6-speed, premium, heated seats, moonroof, and tint. I need/want foglights, dual exhaust, spoiler, HIDs, and bigger wheels in the future. Fog lights are probably next. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g207/tevo867/iphonecameraroll038.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g207/tevo867/iphonecameraroll036.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g207/tevo867/iphonecameraroll034.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g207/tevo867/iphonecameraroll046.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g207/tevo867/iphonecameraroll051.jpg
