08 LGT here with 54k miles

^ Glad you got everything taken care of Jon I am sure it will fix the issue. My job from the dealer was covered under a one time good faith or TSB I think they call it at the dealer. They didnt diagnose the car but I emailed them (the guy I know) this thread which they (a technician) looked at and did the job and thats it. They didnt want to chase down any other issue and I was 99% sure it was the IM gaskets. At the end of the day it was covered and my car is fixed.

I would argue with them and show them this thread that really helped me out. If they keep pushing back maybe have them call SOA to verify. Kinda stupid they blamed a rough idle and studder on an O2 sensor but it goes away when the car is up to operating temp.

They really shouldn't give you a hard time since its a well documented issue. You can mention to them that the gaskets were smaller till 08 then they actually changed the part number to reflect the new thicker gasket. You can also ask them to contact SOA to confirm if it comes to that point.

knowing how you drive thats all i would give you if i was a dealer

I got my car back from the dealer and on the invoice it was confirmed there was dampness around the upper intake gasket. Another 08 rough idle issue confirmed and fixed. Thank you Chris !!!

So its been over a month since my new/ re-tune and I have come to the conclusion that I never had bad O-ring gaskets. It turns out when my car was originally tuned the MAF scaling was never changed to fit my Cobb SF intake. Cobb stated that the scaling did not need to be changed for the Cobb parameters/maps however they were wrong. The car would stumble and almost stall in colder weather when i came to a stop and this was due the MAF scaling. After the new tuner tuned it I have not had this issue since. NOTE: If you have an intake and your car has an AP OTS Map or Protune please have your tuner look at your MAF scaling before you assume it is the problem in the OP.

Why do you cringe, I hear people say dont powder coating forged wheels it ruins the integrity. I say thats BS with all due respect IMO I just think thats said to people to scare them.

from where I84 started in PA all the way to My exit 100+ miles later (Mass plates) I was with a lowered blue 05-07 LGT with an exhaust. Girl driver, guy has his dirty ass feet all over the front windshield. I was in a white acura tsx
