  1. I was just down in Miami Beach and saw a couple of these stupid cards... I do a few questions...

    1) what happens to the suspension and braking ability of these cars? seems to me that both would be dramatically less effective in the event of an emergency

    2) in the event of an accident with a smaller vehicle what would happen? again, seems like this would be a big problem for the other vehicle in the crash. Don't most states have bumper height restrictions?

    carry on...

  2. Spotted a black sedan on 95 N this morning near woburn. Tinted with roof racks. I was traveling southbound in the passing lane and saw ya. HAWK EYES

You did pass me didn't you?

Could have been me. My new commute has me on 95N between 6:30 and 7:00am. I work right next to Alberto's shop, which is where my car happens to be right now.

P.S. which group do you guys Auto-X with? NER SCCA? It's been way too long since I've been.

  3. black lgt at motive auto today with what looked like a stromung exhaust and had a ski rack on the top. My car is there with yours overnight.

Yup, that's mine. It's on an extended stay at Motive.

fossil2k2 injector install is my guess.

Correct. Also doing a bunch more maintenance. Pretty sure I'll be putting in a new clutch too. :spin:

  4. We are obviously too clever by half for each other. ;)

Back to spotting. Speaking of which. Saw this the other day in Woburn ...

Did not appear to have a FMIC, so it's probably not a GT, but the wheels are obviously not stock, so you may be on here.

Looks like a Cummings Park building, I work in that same office park. You'll see my salty LGT around there all the time.

  5. Thats where my car is right now!!!:lol::lol:

hey mine too lol prob there until thursday, maybe we will cross paths

I stopped by the shop this afternoon during lunch. Spotted both your cars there. spc2125, your car was just arriving on a flat bed I believe. The driver had no idea where the shop was, I ended up giving him directions.

  6. Chris (bmx045)- btw, in the NE spotted thread, can you reply to fossil2k saying that he works literally across the street from motive. i noticed he parks in the same spot everyday

where is motive's place? I do park in the same spot every day, away from everyone else.

Exchanged waves with a black 4th gen on 93N wednesday around noon... Quad tip exhaust sounded fierce! What exhaust is that?

That would be me. No cats and Stromung cans, it's not quiet.

  7. Black 05-07 LGT at REI in Framingham with quad tip exhaust

That's me, I was shopping for some warm clothes before the Patriots v. Broncos game that night.

Oh yeah, and I also saw two LGT sedans around Fenway tonight. Both were BSM, one an 05 (or with 05 headlights, at least), and one 06 or 07.

I was in the fenway area Sunday night, the car was parked on Lansdowne St., I was at Bleacher Bar.

  8. Taken from an Autocross website...

To help determine the optimum tire pressure for time trials or autocross events all you need is a piece of chalk! Begin by rubbing the chalk on the sidewall of the tire and then move up to the tread blocks found in the shoulder area.

After you’ve chalked all four tires in various places around the tire’s circumference, take the car out for a few practice laps or perform some hard cornering maneuvers in a safe area.

Next, inspect the chalk marks and determine if any pressure changes need to be made. What you’re trying to achieve is to have the chalk rubbed off close to where the tread design ends in the shoulder area of the tire. If all the chalk is rubbed off a tire, add air pressure to the tire. If, on the other hand, most of the chalk is still on the tire, reduce the air pressure in the tire.

When adding or reducing air pressure to maximize performance, do so in 2 psi increments. Even minor changes in the air pressure can make a substantial difference in the way a car performs.

You can then fine tune the car’s handling by adding air pressure to the end of the car that needs additional traction. So, to reduce understeer add air pressure to the front tires.
