  1. saw a tinted silver LGT on 23S in Riverdale tonight around 4:30
  2. OK...today I saw a silver LGT on 208W just before BD and I saw a black XT coming out of Vernon on 515. Plus a ton of other subies...you know I never noticed how many there were until I got mine.
  3. Saw an OBP sedan on Rt23S around 6:30 in West Milford...anyone here?
  4. I do remember that the bracket screws were way tight but there should have been a piece of plastic you could remove to route the wire...IIRC it was in the back left corner when veiwing from the front.
  5. It will play regardless of the source you choose....the blank CD is just so you can hear your music clearly. AS for being able to play it over the radio or a CD and still be audible is a different story. That will depend on the output of hte device you are connecting. With my MyFi, the line out wouldn't have a chance of being audible but the amplified headphone jack does. You may just have to play around.
  6. Ha ha...I told a fellow LGT owner at work about this and he gave me that look. Well I recently did the DIY short shifter mod and I had him take my car out to see if he wanted to do it. Well not only does he plan on doing the shifter, now he wants to hear a little boxer rumble too. When he started up the car he was very surprised with how good it sounds. So it looks like we have another convert.
  7. OK...just did this mod with some skepticism and wass pleasantly surprised. Nice tone when teh car turns over, but still fairly quite at idle. Get on it and you hear that boxer rumble. For the 30 minutes it took (including run to local hardware store) and the $1 in parts, even if I decide later it drones n the highway I am out nothing really. hogmeat: you mentioned that most of the air seems to be going through the muffler @ 3k but what about at idle? I did this alone so couldn't check @ 3k but at idle most air was coming out of hte flange. But I guess that makes sense since at higher rpms the velocity is higher and is more likely to travel along in the pipe. Thanks hogmeat...fun mod
  8. Ha ha...what the hell. if it ever stops raining here I might give this a go. Can you tell me what size washers you used? That way I can just go pick them up and have them ready.
  9. Wow! Found my cable and hooked up the Jazzy to the MyFi and the sound quality is quite good. I think tomorrow morning I will end up looking at my mounting options and route the cables appropriately. Thanks Jazzy for the fast shipping, support and quality product.
  10. jazzy you were right, I guess when I was struggling to get my sausage fingers back there it must have come loose because I know I "tried" to connect it. Oh well, now I have to go test it. Besides the scare the install is super easy, very good clear instructions. Thanks Jazzy!
  11. I think I got them all but I will double check after work. I hope that is it, because it is freaking pouring out here and if I get soaked, then have to drive for an hour in a car with the a/c maxed, I think my nips might cut through my shirt.
  12. OK...now I am a little nervous. I installed the board over my lunch break and ran into some trouble. Once everything was reconnected and I started teh car, everything seems to work but the HVAC controls. The radio works; I wasn't able to test the aux in because I forgot the cable but a CD played so I think I have it all connected correctly. The air does come on full speed but no display...any one have any ideas what I could have srewed up or missed?
  13. It was out of stock at Crutchfield for several weeks, someone earlier posted about this one though. It is a little more money but if that is what you want you can get it http://www.electricalconnection.com/audio/noise-filters.htm
  14. maybe I will try to get it done tomorrow on my lunch break. Might be pushing it but I should be able to get it pretty close to done.
  15. Damn you Jazzy! I just recieved the board and my GLI came from Crutchfield today too.....must resist the urge to install. I know I should wait for the weekend so I have plenty of daylight but it is just so tempting. I am tired of having to change the radio station constantly for hte XM
  16. Sweet! Placed my order with Jazzy and with Crutchfield....hopefully I will have everything in my hands before next weekend and I can install it then. Can't wait to have clean audio from teh MyFi
  17. For those interested the PAC 3.5mm GLI is back in stock at Crutchfield http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=127SNI135
  18. I am about to pick up one of Jazzy's boards but I am looking to the future and other possible mods. Eventually I may pick up a portable nav system and I would like to be able to have the XM playing and let the nav commands play over the XM. I was thinking about using a splitter like this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Hai0tZcKVWd/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=276950&id=essential_info&i=119AICYP#Tab but I don't know if it would work since this is intended to split an output not an input, does anyone know if these are directional? I don't think they are but I figured someone would know for sure.
  19. I am pretty sure the PAC uses a special transformer that gives them a 1.3dB gain.
  20. I saw that one too but between teh price difference and since I couldn't find specs on it I think I will wait for the PAC to be back in stock. I don't know if this one has the built in amp to compensate for all teh connections.
  21. jazzy...I don't have a Legacy yet and honestly I am waiting to see if the upgrades are worth the extra cost on the 07's...I think the only reason I would get an 07 is if I had to have a new color or color combo, otherwise I will end up with an 06 and I would much prefer a non CD version, are you talking about an autosensing type setup? That would be sweet!
