  1. Thank You! The TS did not come with instructions and that explains it. I thought it was just compressing the rubber section too much and binding up. I will give it another try on my next long weekend.
  2. I pulled out the steering damper lockdown before work last night. It was causing the steering to feel like the power steering pump was building up pressure and would go from feeling tight to jerking with over assist. Car was squirelly in corners and downright scary to drive. Feels great without it and the new 20mm RSB and new summer tires now. Still considering getting a set of mid level coilovers since there are so few options for suspension upgrades otherwise anymore. I'd like just a small drop, an inch at most, but definitely more firm suspension.
  3. 10 year old 22k mile car maintanance the last two days. Did the front and rear diff oil. Replaced the original spark plugs and wouldn't wish that job on my worst enemy. 4 cylinder is so easy. H6 is just awful. Swapped in the Subaru 20mm rear sway bar and Kartboy endlinks. Had the bigger Subaru front to swap in until I realized the engine had to be lifted. Wasn't in the mood for that after fighting the plugs. I also replaced the brake lines with the Goodridge SS ones and installed the new Powerstop Z23 brake kit and flushed all the fluid. Installed the Torque Solutions steering lockdown thingy, but not sure I like that. Makes the steering weird to say the least. Lastly, installed the summer wheels and put the winters away.
  4. I sure hope there isn't a problem as I installed mine last night while doing 10 year old 20k mile car maintenance.
  5. Sorry, it's Premium. The middle level model. Always got those two confused. They sound backwards like Premium would be top of the line where limited has some options.
  6. It's silver ice with black cloth interior. No sunroof. I'll get some pics uploaded soon.
  7. Hello Everyone! I just took ownership of a 2012 3.6R Legacy Limited in December. Started as my wife's grandmother's car when she bought it new. When she passed in 2019 my dad bought it from her grandfather with 10300 miles on it and I drove it from Spokane to Cleveland for him. He gave his 2009 Legacy 2.5se to my daughter with 55k miles and I drove it back. My dad passed away just before Thanksgiving so I inherited the 2012 and drove it back to Portland in December and shipped the 2009 off to my niece in Arizona with 68k miles on it after rebuilding the motor from factory defective head gaskets. I had already bought my daughter a new car and was driving the 2009 as my DD. The 2012 now has 22,083 miles. Lowest mileage 5th gen left? Anyway, I've been scouring the forums for things to improve or upgrade in the car. I have the bigger sway bars for front and rear from Subaru. Parts were pretty cheap from BAM. I also ordered the remote starter kit as well since we had it on the 2009 and got spoiled with it. Installed the factory foglights that it didn't come with and have the factory spoiler to install as well once the weather is nice. New brakes, lines and fluid will go in with the sway bars when weather clears up and the the new wheels finish it off. I already swapped out the headunit for something modern with Android Auto before driving the car back from Cleveland. I'll probably replace the speakers at some point too since I have extras around. I have to say, after messing around with a lot of different Subaru's, I really like the 3.6R motor. Feels better than the HP rating suggests, pulls hard up top for a NA motor and sounds better than most V6 motors do. The Subaru auto leaves much to be desired in either the 4 or 5 speed version, but it's still better than the CVT. Enough about me, I just thought I'd drop in and say hello.
  8. Reviving an old thread that should have been an easy install. I installed everything except the factory switch as it was last to arrive. The only difference being I used aftermarket fog lights that supposedly switch from white to yellow by a simpe toggle of the switch. Install went easy with the switch being the hardest part to get out. Finding a thin enough tool to depress the levers was the issue, but once I got something in there it popped right out. Plugged it in and starting testing. Good news is the light comes on in the dash now, but I still have no fog/driving lights. Everything is conected that I know of. Plugs on the lights only fit one way, relay under the hood, fog light fuses were already in place, new mirror switch in the dash with the fog light button. Dash light is coming on now. There wasn't another harness out in the body to connect right?
