^^Looks awesome! I am the proud new owner of an 05 GRP OBXT and am slowly accumulating parts for where I'd like to end up. Ended up picking up xtea's pink springs and USDM bilsteins from another member. Already have F&R sways from my previous LGTs as well as most Stage 2 parts.
Looking forward to putting the new suspension in and joining the thread officially!

I'd guess it's no more complicated than Jazzy. That one was a little involved as you had to crack the radio open and remove the cd player, etc.
This is a bit of a headscratcher since there's no walk through, so being an electronic n00b, I'm not really sure how complicated it will get. To me, the main area things could get messy is hooking up the FM modulator. I think after a couple youtube videos I'd feel much more comfortable. As long as it doesn't get any more involved than clipping out/in various rainbow cables, I'm confident I could handle it.
Any input from members or OP would be greatly appreciated.

How's the setup holding up so far. I am contemplating trying to do this...though I am no audio expert. I did the Jazzy Aux in on my old LGT and that worked out just fine. This looks like it may be more involved.
Any words of wisdom before I decide which route to go on my new to me OBXT?

Good looking out guys, nice to see this still happens every blue moon.
^Thanks Leg. I got completely burnt from the previous seller Legacy+Mustang=Brent (http://legacygt.com/forums/member.php?u=68065). The guy had absolutely no integrity whatsoever, completely misrepresenting a vehicle which put me in a very tough spot and cost me a few thousand dollars between loss on trade in / registration fees / maintenance I put in upon purchase.
I try to be the exact opposite when dealing with people because it is the right thing to do. In the end it should all balance out, which means hopefully I've got some good fortune coming my way

#444 has just been purchased. expect a PM from buyer
Spoke to bleggy and relayed all info I could from my ownership experience. I suggested she opt for dealer insurance on the vehicle if she decides to move forward with purchase.

Legacy+Mustang=Brent is a complete sh1tbag. Currently out of the community and hopefully for good.
2006 Spec B #444 - stay away from unless you are looking for a 4th gen which needs a motor pulled.
PM for details

Will be trading in #444 for #159 on Saturday

Will update after process is final but all pieces are in place including deposit.
^^Done!!
New owner of #159 (3rd overall). First guy was a non forum goer, Second was leftybomb. I just picked up with 65k and drove her home roughly 430 miles. Unmolested and drove like she was fresh off the lot! Couldn't be happier.
That said, #444 has been traded in. Owned for under 3 months.....which was 3 too long. Do Not Buy.....PM for details.

did you buy from chutrain? or someone else?
I bought it from that Brent/Legacy/Mustang character. The lifecycle was
1) Billy "RS22b"
2) Will "Chutrain"
3) Brent "Brent=Legacy+Mustang"
4) Mike "BagheeraLGT"

New Spec owner checking in. I recently purchased the SpecB which ChuTrain previously sold (#444). It's back on the forum and in safe hands.

and second question of the day... I stumbled across this link earlier in the thread
https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/15300
I can't believe how cheap these are in the motherland....and how obnoxious shipping prices are. dayumn

Gas cap on the driver side?? You messin with us via photoshop? Lol please explain....
Found this in my old album... i don't think i've ever posted this -
05 lgt 212xxx. Still going strong and gave 'back' to my old man to commute in. We've owned since 102xxx. Bought, salvaged, rebuilt, stage 2, back to stock now. He wants to do timing belt and replace the turbo with a younger one. I'm trying to talk him out of it.
Open to suggestions.

Awesome. Thnx for the info mr booze

189xxx
Bought car @ 100xxx with 0 records
Totaled her after 1 month of owership.
Too guilty to walk away, so I rebuilt her with Salvage title.
I do my own oil every 2500 miles to keep her happy
Went stage 2 around 140xxx
Annually I bring her to shop for a 30/60/90 k service
Only had to do irregular maintenance 1x- my harmonic balancer went
Otherwise all of my dollars spent are mod related
Only other thing which came to mind is these days, the radiator fan is always on. I think I need to replace a relay in the harness.
Overall couldn't be happier. I picked up an 09 OBXT because I know what I'm getting myself into. Planning to port over my stage 2 setup to the Outback and return the Legacy to stock and keep commuting in her as long as I can. near term future, I will turbo swap the outback after all supporting mods are in and instal that VF46 into the Legacy before the current one in there blows.
Selling the Legacy seems to not be in the cards as the salvage title and high mileage would be a sub $5000 return. Long term plans are to build the Leggy into a fun autoX car. Goal of 400+ hp/tq @ the wheels. Built block, FMIC, rotated turbo, the whole bit. Very much hoping that it materializes

I gotcha... working on that now. Its been so long since I bought the kit I lost the silent CD and bought some blank ones to use. Ill prolly make a silent CD and test out at lunch. Thanks
EDIT: Got it working. Sounds awesome (no drop in decibals). Easy install
-
Did the install this weekend. Everything seems to be installed correctly, The 6 discs started shuffling when i put it back together and connected the white CD harness. I can hear a faint audio in/ audio out noise when I connect and disconnect my ipod.
My problem is that I cant get my 6 disc to take a blank CD. It just automatically ejects it when it cant find a track. I cant get any ipod music to play because of it. All other CDs work fine.
Any ideas (sry if this was answered before but i cant sort through the proir 2k posts. I did that once on the BNR turbo thread, lol not again though). Thanks

^^ from my first go around..... lights cost $300 this time but that included free next day shipping. These above got re-opened and blacked out. This time ill black out again. the look is real nice on the OBP leggys
-
i chromed, then blacked my old lights out a few months back. Deer made my passenger headlight go kaboom. I ordered 2 new headlights (as my driver side seal was bad from the first time around). Ill be doing the whole process again tomorrow night.
....but this time, when i install, theyre gonna get some HID 8000K bulb/ballast treatment with some super gold fogs to match. Ill prolly post some pics again for the thread.
