Ah gomen, I forgot to answer. It's just held on by double sided stick tape for now (the heavy duty red 3M kind). Evetunaly I want to find a better solution, but for now it holds great. Been stuck there for about 6 months now.

Wow, I really love how the stock grille looks painted black! First good picture I've seen of one. I may have to try that on my spare grille now.

Thanks! I actually bought the emblem off ebay. I didnt wanna hack apart my OEM grill in case I needed it. The emblem I'm running is off an 09 WRX. After that, to put it on I'll just say I used a lot of double-sided tape!
