  1. Exactly. ALL of the maintenance on mine was performed at the Subaru dealer save one simple oil change. If there was something they asked me to do it got done no questions asked. If there was maintenance that should have been done that wasn't done because it wasn't listed somewhere this falls on Subaru not adding this to their maintenance schedules.

Mine threw a solenoid code so most likely it's clogged with dirty fluid which probably was never checked, drained, replaced, whatever. It's listed as sealed and no service is required. Clearly this is not the case, although being sealed means you can't easily get at any filters or things like solenoids either.

P0026? I'm getting that too. Bought the oil pressure sensors for both sides as the CEL could be that also and because they are much cheaper first Troubleshooting step

  2. my estimate is $1820 from the dealer- plus tax I assume- complain to Subaru 1-800-subaru3. they are kicking up a portion as good will- This really need to be a recall. the CVT's don't come out of neutral at a stop and abruptly stall. I stopped driving it 2 weeks ago so I wouldn't die. mine has 117000, but started about 98000 as a hesitation at lights

Cheaper than my head gasket repair, $4800 and SoA told me I'm SoL because I did my own oil changes

Did you start with an aftermarket headlight or did you add that drl in?

  4. Buy some separate LED's in whatever color you want. Just plain ones with the terminals sticking off of them. Pay attention to the voltage they are made for, so you can put them in a series circuit.

In case you don't follow what I am saying: Most LED's are made to work in the 3-4volt range. The little box on those Street glow lights you have more than likely has a set of resistors in it to bring the voltage down to operating range.

That being said, you can run 3 or 4 LED's (depending on voltage) in a series circuit (all tied together in a line, with one power and one ground) and not have to worry about the resistors.

The ones I bought did not have resistors just wire soldered and heat shrinked to the led. Those burnt out within a year. Planning on rewriring the cup holder. The overhead console led I just added by buying a higher trim switch console on eBay and swapping the non led base version out

  5. Front bumper, grill, head lights, rear bumper, and light interior changes.

I don't see any changes to the rear bumper

The china version has an interesting back bumper. Couldn't find pics of the 2013 JDM rear bumper...but this china bumper makes for an easy diffuser add.

  6. Busted a fog-light on the highway which trigerred few weekend projects:

    -Install new foglight

    -Instal Lamin-X clear covers

    -Do the fog light mod

    -3K GP Thunder Fog bulbs

-Install the Grillcraft lower grill that has been sitting around for sometime.

To do all of this, I decided to pull the front bumper off and also wanted to examine my HID set up 5 months after install.....

Lower grill was easy to install with the bumper off but I am not too impressed with Grillcraft's fitment. Also mine must be the few grills where they did not put their emblem on which I have no problem with....

Here is are some pics.... (sorry the car is dirty)

    The cause:

I have laminx yellow covers for my fogs...they seem to have discolored in the center from the heat. When the fogs are on, it looks red in the center.

  7. I'm sure this has been discussed multiple times before but are there any good exhaust options for a 2012 2.5i

without spending $1,000 or getting a custom one? i have seen some 2.5i impreza's with catbacks that could

mock an wrx or sti. no performance just want to hear that rumble a little more

    thanks, greg

Just keep a look out on classifieds, got a brand new magnaflow for $600 shipped. It sounds good but you don't have the "boxer rumble", it's a nice deep growl tho.

  8. Here are a few fotos of the EURO/ JDM cupholder. As You see it has a divider in order to use the compartment, or alternatively to use it as cupholder.

The compartment measures a total of 165x80 mm, with the divider the single cupholder dimension is 73x80 mm.

    Hope that clears evtl. doubts.

  9. Not that I want to hijack this thread, but we do not have the cover under the radio compartment. So my question would be the other way round: do You have an idea what I would need to add that cover (the one You have stock) ?

=> EURO VERSION (just refer to the space under the radio)

    http://dealerrevs.com/gallery/45562259.html

    => USDM VERSION

    http://cars.about.com/od/subaru/ig/2010-Subaru-Legacy-photos/2010-Subaru-Legacy-dashboard.htm

Only the premium and GT models have that cover. My dash looks like yours.
