  1. I bought a brand new 2005 Kia Spectra with like 43 miles on it. My in-laws bought it a few years ago, and it just turned over 200k less than a month ago. We had a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had 192k when we sold it.

There is still the 100k stigma with cars these days. So much so that interest rates go up once they hit that threshold.

I'd be ok with a normal car past 100K, I'm not sure you can get 200kmi from a turbo car without a major breakdown.

  2. Why not compromise, lease a fusion 2.7 ecoboost for 3 years and by then either there will be a legacy gt or not and then you can decide from there. Meanwhile you have a fun car with plenty of power and room with no worries about ynansb at least on your dime.

Personally, I would just keep the lgt its cheaper to keep her...

I drive far too many miles per year to lease, i usually buy a car outright and then sell it when I get to 100Kmi, cheaper than leasing.

I test drove a ford fuision with one of those ecoboost motors a few years ago, and I felt like I was in the worst manufactured car in the world.

Who puts paddle shifters in a sports sedan that take over 2 seconds to change gears when you hit them? I'd rather have a Chrysler than a ford lol.

  3. The 5th gen LGT's are getting up there in age, and some like mine, in miles.

It's time to start shopping around for a new ride, and I'm kinda lost. my previous car was a 2005 Legacy GT, so Legacy GT's are all I've been driving now for almost a decade.

I'm really wondering what is out there that is in the 30-35K price range that offers a nice ride, AWD, and North of 250HP with a Turbo or supercharger (because I do a LOT of stoplight to stoplight driving and nothing gets me from light to light quicker than boost)

The options seem extremely limited. Almost all newer "Luxury cars" are out of the price range, or don't have the power even if they are and WRX fits the bill until you drive one and find it to be a not so comfortable ride.

So I'm really wondering what have others migrated or plan to migrate to now that the Legacy GT is dead?

  4. Oh really? I dont see many legacy gts around here much theres 4 that i can think of that i see regularly but i dont know any of the people who own them. Lol. Maybe ill see you guys around sometime!

I see a few around here and there, but I think I never get spotted because I drive a 5th gen, lol.

  5. I use Waze and find it to be pretty accurate - a friend of mine brought up a fairly valid point that if there were an abduction or something similar we could be letting a criminal know exactly how to avoid the police. So I tend to report accidents etc - but not where hot spots are.

I seriously doubt there would be police taking radar if there was an abduction or something in the area, lol.
