  1. Ordered mine, and it was at my door within 2 weeks
  2. Fun vid; 1) didn't know they offered the 3.0R in wagon format (looks like your camera is posted on the tailgate) 2) Interesting, but that definitely sounds very VERY different than the boxer rumble from the 2.5T. Neat
  3. Not saying its not broken, but if your saying that both the 1/8" and the IPod cord are only playing from one side, wouldn't that possibly show that either the board is busted on one RCA, or perhaps one of your RCA's have come loose / busted rather than the cord itself? For those folks with shipping issues...Placed my order on a Sunday, than by the next Thursday (essentially 10 days later) it was at my door. Also note that I'm in Canada.
  4. I think I may be the first to report a Hog-Zawst failure Turns out after about 3 years, and awesome Canadian winters, the hardware holding the muffler to the Y-pipe finally failed! I don't blame Hog-Zawst...I blame the operator (me). Why buy cheap hardware? Anyways, 5 min run to the store...$3 later and Hog-Zawst is fixed. Again with the same cheap hardware, but the way I see it, this will buy me another 2 years This time I upgraded to stage 3 rather than the mediocre stage 2 I had previously = AWESOME
  5. Just checking up to see if this has been updated to include Canadian cars (i.e. with C for climate control readings)
  6. Lots of people have come across this issue. Some good old fashion breaker bars with the addition of cheater bars usually does the trick. You may need to replace the nut and bolt but thats really not a prob. Good luck.
  7. Just spent the last 45mins reading through each and every single page of this thread. Subscribing for the sheer awesomeness that this project is. Please keep us posted as things develop. Karl:)
  8. Had a similar problem. Breaker bar, with cheater bar, and some good old fashioned elbow grease knocked those puppies loose. They never saw it coming
  9. I didn't think this was a common issue? Mine definately doesn't snap crackle and pop like that! If i'm not mistaken, if your car pops/backfires like that, wouldn't it be due to some unburnt fuel combusting in your exhaust? If this is the case, wouldn't a simple tune fix that? Pontiac finally did the right thing by letting someone else make their cars. Those Aussies have been making nice "modern" muscle cars for quite some time! This may tick some people off but I feel as though they are better at it then the domestic manufacturers!!!
  10. I had a similar problem...so i used a breaker bar with a cheater bar on top of that and blamo, off they came Good luck
  11. For now? You'll see that if you don't make it too obnoxiously loud you'll keep it for a long time...forever perhaps!
  12. I'm pretty sure these guys throw a regular meet. Lots of Subaru enthusiast out in the Montreal/Quebec area. http://www.montreal-subaru-club.com/ My car was shipped to me from Montreal;)
  13. Yes...bad fuel milage. You will find yourself hitting the gas a lot more spiritedly just to hear it. It is quite addictive! I feel as though its a good investment !
  14. I have yet to see any residue being created by the open exhaust. If that much residue is building up on your car, then i think you may have a bigger issue in terms of inproper combustion.
  15. Finally was able to use a nice breaker bar and some serious elbow grease to get those bolts loose. Anyways 1 washer 1 side sounds wonderful. Nice rumble at low throttle and idle, minimal noise at WOT, or hwy cruising. What is the general census...Do most people do both sides or just the one? Karl
  16. I imagin that the hardware will break when trying to remove. Anyone know the size of the replacement hardware? Thanks.
  17. Not sure if this is the right section however this post is the most relative to my question. So, after the long winter decided to try and slide the rack back so I could make full use of the sunroof without obstruction. Anyways as i go to do this, using the Subaru tool, I am unable to even budge the damn bolt. I sprayed the top of the bolt along with the bottom section as well. Anyone have any pointers/advice for moving these PITA roof racks? Moderators if you feel my question would best be suited elsewhere please feel free to move it, or let me know to move it. Thanks. Karl
  18. I like the idea of a road trip from Calgary to Iowa for you to "zip" them off. I don't think I will be able to get the time off. Ill just muscle through them and get replacement ones. I think they could be using a nice new set of hardware anyways!!!
  19. That sure seems like the way to go. Anyone have any better ideas? Or if at all what type of nut+bolt so I can pick up some replacements when I brake them?
  20. looks like I won't be able to join the club. The bolts are one piece with the flange. Rusted to sh*t. I soaked it with liquid wrench, no luck. I don't have a torch. Anyone have any advice?
